Bruh you forgot the Shadows of the Damned remaster (more Yamaoka godliness), Horizon and Darksiders II

In for all three above plus Metaphor, Brothership, Indy and Kain

The rumor is free access to those who spent at least 480 euros on PoE1, or a pack of 30 euros which will contain a key for PoE2 EA.
I'd expect buying a pack will get you into the game. I think there is a stream set for the end of this month to explain everything.

Well, my enthusiasm is kept in check.

I have my eyes on a Remake (SH2), two Remasters (The Thing and Soul Reaver) and one new game - Mario & Luigi.

Could be better. Will buy Indiana Jones as well if MS doesn't drop the ball on this one. But as I have no faith in games coming from them any more…

It's not stacked for me I guess... I don't care about any of these.
I'll just play the FF14 patch 7.1 and then I'm deciding whether I want my PC playthrough of FF16 to be after I upgrade to Arrow Lake later this month or after I upgrade to Blackwell in 2025.

boring games and lame remakes, "stacked" :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The rest of my year: RDR, Planet Coaster 2, Indiana Jones and 1 hour or so Flight Sim for the cool graphics.

Flight Sim has now a "career mode". :messenger_smiling_hearts: Thats what always bothered me...the pointless flying around without any real objectives (unless you used 3rd party stuff like neofly etc). Thats now hopefully history and we even have a "little game" in this beautiful sim.

Right now I'm playing Silent Hill 2.
Then I have already preordered Metaphor Re Fantazio and I'm curious about Lego Horizon.

I also have Dragon's Dogma 2 and Persona 3 Remake in the backlog and I want to replay FF7Rebirth and TLOU2 on the PS5 Pro.

I also want to play something more niche like Amerzone and Neva.
So it's a really busy period, 2025 should also start strong with Monster Hunter, AC shadows (if it's good) and Indiana Jones (Ps5, if it's good).

We say this pretty much every year, and some stuff gets delayed, and other stuff turns out to be not good, and we end up with only one or two actual good games.

I see a few games going to my wish list for later. Already buried by 2024.
Silent Hill 2, Stalker 2 and Legacy of Kain interests me the most so far.

Yeah, there's quite a bit and I'm happy to see it. I'm 100% going to be playing Metaphor as soon as it's out, though some of the other stuff is going to have to wait for the PS5 Pro before I bother. Stuff like Silent Hill 2 or anything else that's going to be stutter-prone on PC, basically. Dragon Quest III is another "drop whatever you're doing for this" sorta games for me. Gonna be a good few months.

I like shooters

My favorite is Hell Let Loose but better be able to sit for up to an hour sometimes for one match

I like COD because I can jump in, squeeze off a few rounds of hardcore and walk away even if I just have time for one or two matches
Hardcore COD is the best. It's the only mode I usually play. Excited to see how nuts COD 6 Hard-core gets on some of those maps

Ys X, Silent Hill 2, are the main ones I'll be playing. I'm getting Metaphor but not playing it right away. That will be in the backlog for a while. Might consider Indiana Jones based on reviews. A Quiet Place looks like it might have some promise as a neat little survival horror experience, but waiting on reviews of that also. Considering Stalker 2.

Silent hill,
Stalker
Indiana...

Tho I might wait for stalker and Indiana on the ps5. Prob give stalker a go on games pass and see if I like it first.

I can't remember a gaming year where GOTY was so up in the air since 2014 when the gaming landscape was so bad that Dragon Age Inquisition won GOTY.

I straight up could not tell you what I think GOTY is this year because no game has clearly made an overwhelming case and the only big game left this year is Stalker 2. There were a bunch of good games but no defining ones.

Silent Hill 2, Metaphor, Dragon Quest 3, Romancing Saga, Mario and Luigi, Legacy of Kain, The Thing. Fantasian was not listed in the poll, but I am including it here because it comes out in December. Still no word on Metal Gear solid 3 and Clock Tower release dates.

I purchased Silent Hill 2 and have DQIII pre-ordered. I'm kind of excited about The Thing Remastered but I'll probably wait for a sale. Metaphor is in the same boat as is Red Dead Redemption. I need to see reviews for Mario and Luigi.

You forgot Y's 10 Nordic Oct. 25th according to steam.

Already got sh2.
Getting dragon quest
And maybe that metaphor game and definitely ys10

There's so many good games after what felt like a long dry spell. I still need to finish Black Myth Wukong and I'm only on chapter 2. Dead Rising was stuttering so much I'm waiting for a few more patches.

Not on the list, but Sonic x Shadow Generations. And probably Sparking Zero.

That list also reminds me that I need to get around to that demo for Metaphor.

I'm interested in a few of these, but the only two games that I will actually get for the rest of the year are:
Not-Persona
and Gothic in 2D

Usually don't get many vr releases but I have a feeling Arkham Shadow will be the most fun I have all year.

Aces of Thunder looks amazing. You'll be able to use motion controls to fly which is a feature most flying/racing games don't have.

Then you also have Behemoth, Alien, and Metro.

Are we in such a drought that you think that lineup is STACKED?! hahah
In his defense he mentions the 2nd half of 2024 in the title but those games are only games that are coming out starting in this latest quarter...

Looking only at those games in the voting, i would agree with you.

That said i think this year has been amazing in terms of new releases so i get it.
