I didn't check but someone mentioned 2 gigs.
Edit: there you go..
One thing that people haven't brought up often is how health works. No regen BS and using medkits actually takes time so forget about doing it during a fight.
Cancel and try again.
No health regen?
That's kind of cool, it seems ND really have gone for a survival horror; considering their previous games it is surprising, Capcom didn't have the balls to do it with Resi 6.

@the dude mulling around in the demo files: anything suggesting that the cutscene at the beginning of the demo was pre-rendered? I know there's often a big fidelity gap between real-time cutscenes and gameplay, but I've never seen a gap THIS big. It doesn't really matter in a practical sense (the main issue with pre-rendered cutscenes is that they hurt ""immersion"" when the cutscenes look like they take place in a whole different world than the gameplay (see: Final Fantasy X) but as long as you keep them in the same ballpark (see: Metal Gear Rising) it doesn't matter) and I know a lot of games have to pre-render a few cutscenes anyways (like the volta river scene in MGS4) but in this case it would almost feel deceitful because of how it was assumed that all the footage we've seen thus-far was being rendered on a PS3 or equivalent.

Nope. You literally enter into an animation where you watch your character crouch and take his time to apply bandage/health. There is no magic button press.
Same goes for switching guns. Have to dig though your backpack for it... No instant weapon switch
It's like in the Uncharted games, they are pre-rendered videos and not real time. Not being rendered in real time allows for better IQ and some extra effects.
just played the demo. I can't stand it. the controls are awful and it really doesn't look impressive at all. I'm glad because I would have purchased it without seeing the demo. another case of too much hype and the game not delivering at all.

The demo is only available for God of War Ascension disc owners. We have no plans to release it otherwise.

Yep this is like Re4, shootingreminded me of it.that pendant out of that tree
Gah! don't waste your bullets! There are other ways...
This is going to be the Resident Evil 4 of this gen isn’t it? I can sense it. Gah, I'm gonna get out of this thread before I get tempted to download.
I shot it 3 times and nothing happened. Aren't you supposed to throw something at it?
See this is why i'll wait for release to play this. Demo is from a few months old build.just played the demo. I can't stand it. the controls are awful and it really doesn't look impressive at all. If anyone wants to create a dummy account so I can download the installer with it now's the time.
I would really like to know the size of the final game now. Still, will pre-order after E3. Can't wait to play this.
this won't work, this demo can only be shared on 2 consoles because it has an owner, friend of mine tried it
Yeah, not really an impressive segment of the game. Sort of felt like a slower Uncharted (though what combat is in here feels way better than Uncharted 3).Just played it but still not feeling the hype for this. It's all very gorgeous especially the sound and music. But on the other hand it sorta confirms my expectations that it will be like this: Interactive scene > walk some bit > interactive scene > walk some bit > interactive scene > actual gameplay > interactive scene...
Don't get me wrong, I would gladly play though the complete game. But I'm not that a big fan of those heavily scripted games. If only the demo was a bit more fleshed out.
Videogamer.com has completed it and said that it took them 15 hours.

Two different accounts on two different consoles? Or two different consoles and 1 account?
The demo only downloads what you're going to use. First I chosse Portuguese as my language (since I'm in Portugal), but then I noticed that it only downloaded the portuguese dialoges. So when I choose English dialogue, it then downloaded what was needed.
So the size can depende on what you choose to install

That is very solid length I believe. Have they mentioned if it was with(out) side play/missions, collectives (if any) kind of stuff?
No... from what I've played and seen, Resident Evil 4 wishes it was as Resident Evil as this game.

Were definitely looking at more than 12 hours, maybe 12 to 16 right now is what were looking at, explains Naughty Dogs Arne Meyer in a video interview. It really depends on how you play. You can play a little bit slower if you try to approach situations stealthy, if you really wanna explore the environment and scavenge, thats going to add more time too.
I was talking more about how its going to be a critical darling/classic rather than how it actually plays.
that's the whole point of a demo mate, to show you enough of the game in order to make you buy it. I wasn't impressed at all.Great conclusion after playing a ~15min demo.

Well, it doesn't hurt to try: Anybody feels like PMing me the details to dl the demo from a dummy account?![]()
Oh thanksGah! don't waste your bullets! There are other ways...
That's a nice touch, more games should do this.Another interesting thing in the same regard is that when you open your backpack to craft health kits or weapon items, then the game is not paused. So they really want us to think survival and not just be able to do such things in the middle of fights![]()
Hey guys, anyone knows what is this:
