The part everyone's talking about is easily the scariest part of the entire game for me. I start to get worried the closer and closer I get to reaching that area when I replay it. *shivers*
seems like a lot of work to put in when they could be making new games instead. Is it true they will release a Uncharted Remastered collection?.
I have such a strong urge to replay this game right now. It's going to be a long month. Hold me, GAF.
I'm guessing that ND/ICE's work on TLoU Remastered will be the blueprint for other studios to work on. I have a hunch that this was more of an experiment for porting documentation than anything else, especially since TLoU would probably be the hardest game to port.
It's even easier than that, I would've thought!
Before you turn on the generator, go find the door and try it. That'll prevent any chance of Joel doing test run of the key when it really matters. After you turn on the generator, sprint away from it and through the door, across the corridor and into the large ground floor room, up the stairs, take a left and you're already there - you don't need to even set eyes on the Bloater.

Am I the only one who wasn't smart enough to realise you had to pick up the keycard before switching on the generator? I was with a friend and spent ages on that section, we saw the door, and figured we just needed the generator to open it. It wasn't until a lot of tries later that we finally succeeded killing the damn bloater and his comrades, before we realised we still could not open the door. Then we found the bloody keycard.

Are the DLC trophies required for platinum this time since it's all in the same package?
And anyone know if they improved the actual graphics for multiplayer like they did in single player, beyond the 60fps?
Well here's hoping those rumors turn out to be true, as a 360 convert to the ps4 this gen I missed out on all the good ps3 exclusives and would gladly jump on this.Nothing official or even rumors with some weight. Just a prediction from a lot of people, myself included.
Man the deaths are so difficult and agonizing to watch. Can Naughty Dogs include a Chloroform-napkin dlc item pls? I will pay $5 to get it.
Are you talking about the Playstation Store preorder bonus? That's just an instant unlock to two head items included in the base game that you earn by playing.I am hoping all the cosmetic DLC and such come with my pre-order from Sony. On Sony's site it says it does include comestic DLC for online while from other places like Amazon, it only says Joel and Ellie skin, nothing about online DLC...
If you preorder on the PlayStation Store, you will receive three extra preorder bonuses to unlocks in Factions multiplayer:
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/09/the-last-of-us-remastered-coming-to-ps4-summer-2014/
- Early Access to the Brawler Survival Skill in Factions Mode
- Early Access to additional Loadout Points for use in Factions mode
- Early Access to the Jeep Cap and Surgical Mask for use in Factions mode
I'm pretty sure somebody from the studio on Twitter said it, but I'm not sure who. The press release however specifically says:
That quote implies, which has been confirmed, that any cosmetic, perk, or weapon dlc you bought will transfer over, not that all the dlc under those categories will be included.

You could turn the gore down
That probably won't be made by ND anyway, so that is not the problem.seems like a lot of work to put in when they could be making new games instead.
I want to add something to the listen mode on/off debate. I think the game does change slightly based on if you have it or don't. One of the highlights of the game for me, was when I thought I had cleared an area of enemies. I was starting to move through to the next area when Ellie suddenly yells out something to the effect of "Look out behind you!"
I do a quick turn around and I see a guy charging at me with a pipe, just a couple feet away. I got off a quick headshot to down him, but I was pretty amazed at how that event had just transpired. If I had listen mode, I likely wouldn't have experienced it. I would have used it to know how many enemies there were, where they were, and most importantly, I would have known when the coast was clear.
Hnnng imagine how good this shit's going to look.

I haven't followed the development of this, but have gotten any high def, 60fps footage yet?
how would you know? they did TLOU so why would they hand off the Uncharted games to someone else? That probably won't be made by ND anyway, so that is not the problem.
sorry, Newman, but the game will look much worse because it's not running at the optimal cinematic framerate anymore. it'll look like a soap opera! ewwwwwwwHnnng imagine how good this shit's going to look

Checking it out. Thanks. The E3 trailer comprised of cutscenes - yes there's a 1080p 60 fps version at gamersyde. No raw gameplay though.

Wow, I can't believe the Remaster edition of the game most likely won't ship with all the DLC..
The DLC maps and SP content is there, but the multiplayer bits that were sold and part of the season pass will be available separately (free if you already own it on PS3 either individually or via season pass). This is what I gather from the stuff ND has said. What? Didn't hear about it yet, where is this coming from?

Left Behind single player expansion
Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack
Reclaimed Territories pack details will be coming soon on exactly what is included

I still can't believe they pulled all of that off on such a limited console.
I haven't see a commercial to create hype for this game yet.
Isn't it out in 3 weeks?
I haven't used it for like 5+ years but the reason I used it originally was because they packaged it anonymously so you didn't have to pay import duty.Just hit up videogamesplus.ca as well. I'm in the UK and while the censored version of the game was fine, I do want to have a go at it as it was originally designed. Any word on how good videogamesplus.ca are in terms of international shipping? Am I likely to have to pay any import duty or additional taxes?

However if you already own the skills/weapons on PS3 you'll automatically unlock them on PS4.
If you have the Euro DLC and buy the EU PS4 game or the US DLC and the US PS4 game it'll carry over.So season pass holders from PS3 will have everything right?
We recently announced that it’ll be a level playing field in Factions mode as player progress from The Last of Us PS3 multiplayer will not carry over to the PS4 version. However PS3 players will be getting a supply bonus to give their progression a boost. We can now also say that all current DLC content – head items, weapons, and survival skills – that you have purchased for PS3 will be available for you in the PS4 version. So check out the latest DLC if you haven’t yet.

May be obvious but don't forget you have to buy the DLC from the same store region you bought the main game from.awesome. so I can still play with my British mates online on my UK main account, despite buying the game on a secondary USA account. Sweeeet!
I live in Europe so I just ordered from videogamesplus.ca. Want the full gore in MP.
