You make it sound like the game was finished when they announced it. They apparently just sent out/are sending out review copies. You can see plenty of trailers from the PS3 version if you want to see gameplay. 2 weeks is plenty of time to come to a decision.
I imagine they haven't released any yet because they were still working on the game, which is most likely not being worked on by a full team. That and it seems like they were still doing work on getting it to 60 fps pretty close to it going gold.
Why would they show off something before they are ready to? That would hurt them more than waiting until they are ready to show it off. Maybe it is incredibly lame, but it isn't a big deal. If they were good to show off footage 1 month ago I'm pretty sure the release date would be half a month ago.

Depends on what you consider breaking the bank. The PS4 Golds are excellent and they cost 100. Check Amazon though cause I snagged them for 90.
With the Golds you'll also get access to the TLOU sound app that hopefully gets released on the 29th.
ND/SCEA should troll everyone next week by only posting a Remastered title screen shot the day before the full media barrage.
We'd get a good look at shadow res/filtering improvement though.
And 'PRESS (OPTIONS/X/ANY) BUTTON' ?
I hope it was changed to Press X button.

I was on the fence until I found out they'll work on my PS3, PC, and Macbook. Plus I had $100 in rewards points to burn and it was a slow day at work
I played BF4 on PC, I can't believe they really did that.
The root of the problem is the button being named "Options" in the first place, though.

It's two weeks away. No real footage of pics out except scraps. Just because it's being made, it doesn't mean there's fuck-all to share with us. Just release a batch of pics, a cutscene or two. We're not stupid, we know it's a work in progress. But getting a sense of the differences would be nice.
Instead we've got people literally picking pics apart from find out the graphical upgrades etc. That's not the way it should be for a game releasing in two weeks. TWO. WEEKS.
Probably so awesome that it will ascend to masterwhole as opposed to its current masterpiece status.

Its the same in Call of Duty: Ghosts. It looks a bit weird, but thinking about it, pressing a start button to get into a menu could also sound weird, but we're simply used to it. Thats probably the idea behind the name change of the button since "start" serves more as a menu button in games today.

Both consoles have the same problem. "Press Menu to begin"
They should just default to X/A to begin. Fortunately, most games allow that already but there are some outliers.. like Killer Instinct.

I am more upset about the BROTASTIC montage intro they have on PS4, before it shows the splash screen. I mean, wtf is that. It's not on PC.
The ketchup represents awesome and I can't wait for The Last of Us: Remastered to spray its awesome all over my face.

The only time I think I really used that was with Ellie and
Bill when you are heading towards the school and you are in the big open area. Running around and letting them do a big portion of the work helps.

Completely agree, I cant wait to repay and replay both of these titles.
They both have so much value Im even excited to give them my money.
The first thing you said was
I'm not really sure where you said there was no issue. If it bothers you that much that there is no footage that is fine. You are more than welcome to that opinion. All I will say is that in my opinion I'd rather have them finish the game and then show us when they are ready.
