I'm surprised you came back. It takes a great person to be so quickly and publicly proved wrong and still be willing to try and say things that make it sound like you know what's happening with a game. :) impressive and commendable.

Well, we all make mistakes, dear, so just put it behind you. We should regret our mistakes and learn from them, but never carry them forward into the future with us.”

But like Kipling said: I never made a mistake in my life; at least, never one that I couldn't explain away afterwards.

Is your explanation that there is a 30fps lock even though the game runs at 60?

Same game, but:

- uprezzed from 720p to 1080p
- jump from 30 to 60fps
- better antialiasing
- better models
- better textures
- better world assets where avaiable [those that were made for PS3 cinematics are not integrated into playable PS4 gameworld]
- better lightning/particles/blur/other effects
- added all DLC MP maps and DLC singleplayer expansion "Left Behind"
- faster load times
- $50

Are you sure? I would reconsider a few......

So the DLC takes place AFTER the main story?

I'm not answering that either way for people who haven't played it yet, all I'll say is the ending of LOU sets up the DLC very well thematically. If you really want to know:

Left behind takes place in Winter when Joel is first injured

Worst thing about this game coming out is that I have been holding off replaying it... Can't wait much longer!!

That's the best thing.

Finished it at launch, then started a new game on Survivor minutes later but only dabbled.

Bought the season pass but held off on Left Behind.

Played a couple multiplayer matches but didn't play too much because no friends had a PS3.

So now, it will be about as close to fresh as it can be without being one of the lucky sons of bitches who never played it.

Which is all of my friends who had 360s last gen, who now have PS4s. Time for some multi!

I had kind of already decided against it, but I think I'll go with grounded right away. Makes the "first" playthrough all the more special.

I am going to go with grounded to start too. I beat the ps3 version on normal but I am kinda depressed sooo...

More like huge pain in the ass. I don't understand the concept of the harder the game the better. My first play through was on normal then on survivor and I didn't enjoy the game anymore or any less. Yes it was more challenging but never once did I think TLoU on Survivor was better than TLoU on normal.

Don't fool yourself.

I decided to jump right into grounded from the get go. I thought the difficulty levels when it first launched should have all fallen a level back. ie; Survivor>Hard, Hard>Normal and so on.

Lol!! I agree with you there. It kills me whenever someone complains about not enjoying a game and the next 10 responses are about turning up the difficulty to enjoy it more. That always seemed counterintuitive to me.

Well first off other people can feel differently than you.

But secondly, given a huge system in the game is scavenging and resource utilization, it makes sense that the game will feel more true to it's purpose when you... well actually have to scavenge and think about using your resources properly, as opposed to normal mode where you really don't.

You guys can do whatever the hell you want, obviously, but i would strongly advise against playing through on Grounded mode for your first time. It's not the kind of challenging that feels good, lol, it's ridiculously punishing, sometimes to the point of being tedious.

Just my two cents.

Honestly, survivor was perfect for the game if you wanted the complete realistic experience.

Thank you. Finally someone who understands the game.

I think hard is the sweet spot for most people. Survivor is fun but the serious lack of items kills improvisation. Better to go into Survivor and Grounded with some knowledge.

Agreed.
My first playthough was on hard, 2nd on survivor. 3rd of course grounded with the sweeeeet remastered version. Which I am getting for less than 40USD back in my country.

Didn't even touch normal, first playthrough was on hard (which was still too easy), then survivor.
Swimming in items and ammo definitely hurts the experience, sucks all the tension out of it. Actually struggling to get through it deepens the connection with the characters and what they're going through, it's not supposed to be a walk in the park,

I thought hard mode was challenging but fair. Haven't tried the other difficulties but if it's a lot tougher than hard mode then I probably will end up trying certain sections over and over again...
