So let me get this straight, if i signed-in to my brother's PS4 and downloaded say Watch Dogs which i have it purchased on my account then logged out my brother can log-in to his own account and play the game? and we can play online together at the same time each on his own PS4 on our separate accounts?
P.S. sorry for going off-topic guys

If you set his PS4 as the primary PS4 for your account, then yes.

I didn't know you could make a PSN account primary in two consoles! If true then holy shit

You can't. You need to deactivate your own PS4 as primary for your account first. The only downside to this is that you can only play your digital games on your PS4 while signed in.

- Deactivate my account on my PS4
- Activate my account on my brother's PS4
- Download a game form my library
- Deactivate my account on my brother's PS4
- Reactivate my account on PS4 again

Right?

No, if you reactiviate your account on your ps4 again, then he won't be able to play your game on his account. Keep your account primary on his system. He'll be able to play your game with his account that way, and you'll be able to play your game on your system while being signed in on your own account that purchased it only.

You can also share PS Plus online play this way.

So i don't need to have my account primary on my PS4 and i will still be able to use my contents, thanks guys

And you can't play any of your games if you're offline or PSN is under maintenance.
hmm thats unfortunate downside, oh well i can reactivate my account easily since we live in the same household

Wait i thought there is no game sharing on PS4!
Did i miss something?

Yes - Make console A your primary console and buy game on it. My son can then log into his own account and play that game on Console A. Nothing new here.

I can go onto our 'Guest' Ps4 and log in to the PSN - as long as I am connected to PSN I can also download the game and play it at the same time.

It only works this way, Primary console for anyone, and I buy on primary Ps4 but play on the Guest Ps4.

This way we pay for 1 PSN+, and buy 1 game, and both ps4 can play the same game at the same time.

Yes, its a form of sharing as being a PS+ member I can play on ANY Ps4 and download my digital games to it and play them as long as I am connected to PSN...

PS4 has family sharing over 2 consoles and 1 sub...!
The downside is the Guest Ps4 has to be connected to PSN....

We buy all single player games disk, all coop or games where we might want to play together we buy digitally once for 2 consoles. You have to pay full UK digital price, cannot do the USA store trick..

Fair enough but only after the maintenance is done. :p

Yes, when maintenance is on we can only play digital on the Primary console.

That's why we buy all SP games on disk. It works great, not as cool as the Ps3 with 2 activated consoles but good enough to be very similar.

Also buying 1 PSN + for 2 consoles is GREAT.

We bought 2 x Ps4 at Xmas and only have COD Ghosts and Watchdogs digital (along with all the free games.....my son and I we play together). Destiny already pre-ordered digital as its a no brainer COOP.

Not too sure about TLOU.

Yes, only you will though with your account while having to be signed in always online.
No problem my console is always online and connected
He can play disc games offline :D
Yeah thats good

Thanks for the detailed explanation i wasn't aware of this way of sharing

There's no issues with using a US account and an EU on the same console though right? I'm thinking of buying TLOU on the US PSN so it's not censored here in the UK.

Having seen a few ps3 screens & E3 2014 trailer has me pumped. Can't wait to check out this game given how highly people have spoken of it and the reviews it received.

Playing it for the first time in 1080p should be a blast, also the $55 delivered price was welcome. If I really dig it will check out the developer commentary on 2nd play through :)

Thought so. Cool. You know of any issues if the PSN is down? Or does that not make any difference?
As long as you are signed-in to PSN the online mode is functional even when PSN is under maintenance the online play works only PSstore that goes offline during maintenance so don't worry about it.

You wont be able to play online if PSN is down but SP will be fine.

Yeah I meant the fact it's purchased from the US store and i'll be playing it on my EU account. Didn't know whether PSN would need to be up to be able to run it for whatever reason.

Sorry I'm being extremely stupid here. So let me get this right:
- Console A is at my home.
- Console B at my brother's place will be the console I want to share content with.
- If I make Console B the primary console, my brother can access my digital content and use my PS+ sub.
- While my brother is accessing my content and PS+ sub on Console B, I can log into Console A and use the same content and PS+ sub at the same time? So we can both play Destiny with a single copy of the game AND account?

As long as you have a good enough surround system you should be good. But in my experience, I feel like a headset is the way to go.

A good surround sound system should work. Anything that properly simulates surround sound totally changes the gameplay when you turn off the detection mode

That's likely just as good. I don't have a surround sound system in my apartment, though. I don't think I can think of a faster way to get evicted than that, lol. My neighbours already find ways to complain about my Vita speakers. They're nuts.

Thanks for the responses. Will leave it to my surround sound. My headset is an older one and not surround capable.

Seriously lame that we have a little over two weeks left until this game is released and we haven't seen true in-game screens or footage. Cutscenes don't count.

Yes.

There's a single primary console that you can assign your account to (the purchasing one). If you set your brother's PS4 to be the primary console, ANYONE on that console has PS+ and access to any game that the account has bought, whether you are online or offline. So he can use his own account to play all your games and content.

However, on your PS4, you can log in with your account, and access all your games and content. The caveat is that because this isn't the primary PS4, you will have to maintain a connection to PSN. That means that if for whatever reason you can't access PSN, you will NOT be able to play your games (whether it's PSN, your home network, or your ISP that's the problem).

Any news on what difficulty setting will be available from the start?

I'd love to be able to jump into the most challenging possible without having to replay "normal" mode.

this is probably a no, but has there been any word about saves transferring from ps3 to ps4?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but the quick search I did didn't come up with anything. Would be nice, but I don't personally think it'll be an option.

Apparently they will all be unlocked (outside of the "+" option), I think Left Behind while not a difficulty setting requires you to beat the game first.

I just realized today that it's been over a year since I played The Last of Us, and have yet to play Left Behind.

Wow, so looking forward to this.

Same here. I can't wait to jump back in since I never played the SP again.

I have very fond memories of my week with the single player (and the following weeks with the multiplayer) last summer. Just thinking about going through it again this summer makes me all giddy.

Was without console when Left Behind released. Remastered was announced and I decided to wait. This is going to be great.

You would think its all a big conspiracy, but don't! ;)

I'm surprised you came back. It takes a great person to be so quickly and publicly proved wrong and still be willing to try and say things that make it sound like you know what's happening with a game. :) impressive and commendable.

Yea, I haven't played it since maybe last October-ish or something and likewise never got to play Left Behind. Can't wait.

So many people who will be playing either the main game or the DLC for the first time on PS4....

...*must resist urge to hurl obscenities out of jealous rage*.

Absolutely, I'm hoping a lot of the sections in the SP will feel fresh since it's been a while. And on top of that we've got an awesome expansion that, really, I know nothing about.

What I'd give for my first experience with TLoU to be this re-release but it should be pretty damn good to go back to nonetheless.
