For proper movies, 24 is actually 24. 23.976 is again a NTSC broadcast framerate.
Oh ok I mean I read somewhere they added new animations? Hard to tell from a scene I saw once a year ago when I beat it.
So my next question, is it true the 'cut scene' models are now the 'in-game' models as well? So far, they just look cleaner. Are the in-game models more detailed?
I did not realize that, damn. My mind is continuing to get blown.

I don't believe they've ever said anything about adding animations. And yes, they have said the cutscene models will be used for gameplay. It seems pretty clear from what we have seen that the character models have the higher resolution textures, but it's hard to see anything more without the ability to get the camera up and close in a character's face.
It's all more complicated than you can even realize, haha. Often times something is shot at 24, but post work is done at 23.976, because the frequency audio is recorded at doesn't line up correctly with straight 24 so you would end up with sync issues. Then it's spit back out at 24 for theatrical projection. But then if it's ever aired on broadcast TV it's at 23.976 again.

Also now that I mentioned it, that first gif of Ellie running towards the camera with snow in background....her jacket or jacket "strings" from her hood seem like they have better physics or more animations added to it. I did see a difference from the PS3 scene. So if they did add animations or whatever, its probably small things like that.

To be clear, the first time someone made a comparison gif of that shot they used an older, pre-release footage of the PS3 version on accident. Someone updated it to the proper release PS3 version and it looked more or less identical to the PS4, bouncing hood strings in tact, minus the resolution difference.

GameStop has to keep people coming to them to make money, where as the digital purchase on PSN completely excludes them.
By the way, I'm not sure why but the video I made for this thread and the remaster is over 5,000 views in the span of 2 days. I apologize to those who couldn't view it via mobile, but that has to do with YouTube's automated content detection crap.

Not again with this shit. Dude, do you not see the downside to digital in this market? This is why gamers fought hard for the big 2, to stick with physical media and let us buy/sell/share used games. We know the downsides so thats why there are lots against full on digital.
Having said that, buying digital doesnt give you any benefit a deal is going for the physical disk. Digital terms are in a sense worse than physical, the biggest one is ability to resell or do with it as you wish at any time you want. If you do not want to get keep getting "fucked", do not buy digital versions. Simple.

I know that, but I was forced to buy digital since my PS3 blu-ray died just before TLoU came out. I had no other choice but to buy digital. Now I'm paying the price...

That guy playing this on Twitch, did anyone see what the framerate looked like? I know Twitch is pretty much the worst place to judge this by, but still it could be noticeable if the game was running smoothly.
Guy playing said he hadn't experienced any frame drops.
Is a weird and awesome at the same time feeling that although I do know know that this is some kind of third person shooter and all but I have absolutly no idea how is designed, how the levels are structured, what kind of narrative it has, etc.

Can't wait to play Left Behind, I want to know more about Ellie. The more I think about it, the more I envy first time players. Guys, for 50 bucks you get more than a game if you allow it to carry you away ( = don't go around looking for bad textures, frame drops or defects, just play it first).
