Excellent news. Didn't have a PS3 by the time that game was released, so this is day uno. Please be early summer.
Were there costs involved in porting Flower (free upgrade)?
Were there costs involved in remastering Pinball arcade tables (the new lighting is sick awesome)? That's a 50%-off upgrade for previous owners.
Why even post in this thread complaining about it though? Other releases retail releases for recently remastered games were also $60. Guess what? They dropped in price after a month or two. There's plenty of reasons for people to be excited. I haven't played this game yet and look forward to playing the best version of it on a console that provides a much better experience than on the PS3.
It's OK not to purchase it for $60. I probably wouldn't either if I had played it a lot on the PS3. But it's I just find it dumb how many people are venting in all these TLoU threads when they aren't obligated to buy shit.
This looks like at least your third post here. You can voice your opinion whenever you want, just expect to get called out on it if it's stupid or childish.Oh for fuck sake it's just one post. It's not like I am throwing posts left and right here complaining. It's-just-one-freaking-post.
Anyways, sorry for ruining the party. This has been a great lesson on when I can voice my opinion on matters and when I just have to keep my mouth shut.
Whoa whoa whoa. What is this rumor about a HD pack of Halo 2,3 and 4

Who started that rumor

ntkrnl back in February.
Nobody cares that you aren't excited. Plenty of people don't want to get the game and those opinions have been respected.
Your stance is just such a ridiculous entitled way of thinking. Sorry man you just don't have a leg to stand on.
You can voice your opinion of course, but when perhaps hundreds of people read this thread, its a possibility that people might comment on something if they dont agree.Oh for fuck sake it's just one post. They just did this with Dead Nation. How can you call it ridiculous when they have many past examples of upgrade pricing and cross buy? The leg is certainly strong enough to feel slightly dissapointed.

I thought it was just 2! I would pass the frick out if they redid all 3. I would drop $100 on that
I might be mistaken, but i think that all the previous upgrade pricing and cross buy stuff has been of the same game. I mean, with this The Last Of Us PS4 version, a good amount of DLC is also included, its not just the vanilla game like it has been before with other games (unless i have missed something). How can you call it ridiculous when they have many past examples of upgrade pricing and cross buy? Hold up. Why isn't 1080p 60FPS a lock? You're telling me that a console released in 2013 can't play a game released on 2007 hardware without some concessions? Next gen sucks.
I guess it's good news for people that jumped from a 360 to a Ps4 and haven't played the game.
Personally, after playing it twice (with the DLC) and spending something like 60-70 hours on the multiplayer I don't feel like buying it again, much less for $60.
I might get it to replay it in a few years when you can find it used for $10 or so.

Me as well, I would buy the shit out of it. I think they just keep a running "Legacy Collection" where they add the most recent game to the collection every 1.5/2 years. I don't know why you'd re-release 2/3/4 on XB1 but not CE.

Over 200 game of the year awards? Why not 300?!

Because they might want to improve the graphics.
Same as they did with Tomb Raider which looks as good as any "next gen" game but is technically also a game released on 2007 hardware (and doesn't run at 60 fps on either console)

Actually I'm pretty sure Tomb Raider runs at 60 fps on PS4 a lot of the time, whereas the Xbone version only runs up to 30 fps.
For the most part, on the PS4 we see frame-rates regularly fluctuating between 40-50fps depending on the complexity of the scene, with exploration in highly detailed areas with lots of effects responsible for the drop in performance. On the flipside, the game manages to hit 60fps pretty solidly in locations that have fewer effects at work, and in the more scripted action sequences where the rendering load is more predictable.

While it hits 60 fps at some points, it regularly goes to 40-50.
Meaning the game as a whole doesn't run at 60fps but is rather "targeting 60 fps".
Just like this re-release
How much do you think they should charge?

I'm surprised at how many people are willing to pay full price for an up port of a game that came out not that long ago. I'm glad it's coming to PS4 because I'll be buying it eventually, but there's no way I'd pay full price for it. I don't know why, but I expected more outrage.
Here's a wallpaper someone made on reddit.

I dont think you were ruining any party. Its just a matter of different opinions.Third post of what? I was just responding to people, not complaining even further.
Aah well... good for you or anyone else that feels that way, I guess?
Anyways, once again sorry for apparently ruining the party here. I am out.
That could probably have worked indeed. How about an "upgrade price" for whoever bought both the game AND the DLC? Seems like a cool idea to me.
depends on the ai.
the final level of tlou was ruined for me because of the ai.
getting ellie out and armed guards were just behind me. like literally behind me, walking trying to find me. not to mention so many times of the companion ai running into clickers.can't believe this game was hailed for its ai.
