I'm sure the costs were negligible compared to a AAA release like TLOU. Let's be realistic. Are you really suggesting Flower & TLOU have equivalent porting costs?

Even though I own a PS3, I neglected to buy The Last of Us (life mostly got in the way). I'll have a couple of weeks towards the end of summer to myself to play it, definitely will jump in then. Excited about this port.

Well, I think it's the fact that people are very annoyed with the dumb complaints that have been made throughout the day and annoyed with people thinking they should be entitled to a cheap price game just because they've already purchased it once

How can you call it ridiculous when they have many past examples of upgrade pricing and cross buy? The leg is certainly strong enough to feel slightly dissapointed.

Cross buy has applied to games releasing simultaneously across multiple platforms, yes?
Upgrade pricing has applied to games that released on current-gen consoles and then came out within a few weeks on next-gen consoles, yes?
Clearly different situations from what's happening here. It would be amazing if Sony gave current owners a discount but there is no reasonable grounds to expect it.

Me as well, I would buy the shit out of it. I think they just keep a running "Legacy Collection" where they add the most recent game to the collection every 1.5/2 years. I don't know why you'd re-release 2/3/4 on XB1 but not CE.

Hold up. Why isn't 1080p 60FPS a lock? You're telling me that a console released in 2013 can't play a game released on 2007 hardware without some concessions? Next gen sucks.

I might be mistaken, but i think that all the previous upgrade pricing and cross buy stuff has been of the same game. I mean, with this The Last Of Us PS4 version, a good amount of DLC is also included, its not just the vanilla game like it has been before with other games (unless i have missed something).

Still, when has there been a upgrade path for a HD version released over a year after the original? Especially a HD version that is so completely reworked? I remember there being a upgrade for COD, AC and BF4 but those were releases that were within weeks of each other.

I guess it's good news for people that jumped from a 360 to a Ps4 and haven't played the game.
Personally, after playing it twice (with the DLC) and spending something like 60-70 hours on the multiplayer I don't feel like buying it again, much less for $60.
I might get it to replay it in a few years when you can find it used for $10 or so.
Because they might want to improve the graphics.

While it hits 60 fps at some points, it regularly goes to 40-50.
Meaning the game as a whole doesn't run at 60fps but is rather "targeting 60 fps".

the final level of tlou was ruined for me because of the ai.
getting ellie out and armed guards were just behind me. like literally behind me, walking trying to find me. not to mention so many times of the companion ai running into clickers.can't believe this game was hailed for its ai.

Will pre order, not sure if I want digital or physical copy though.. damn it. I've wanted to see TLoU multiplayer running on PS4 so bad. They should have released it early on, guaranteed sales and sony could have cornered a nice niche online shooter community that is not of the CoD variety.

I'm surprised at how many people are willing to pay full price for an up port of a game that came out not that long ago. I'm glad it's coming to PS4 because I'll be buying it eventually, but there's no way I'd pay full price for it. I don't know why, but I expected more outrage.
It's a potentially full realization in terms of graphics and framerate of one of the best games ever made.
I'm surprised there's any outrage at all.

It was't because even tho its flawed it is still superior to most AI implementations we have on games.
