When I played on easy for PS3 trophies I was basically able to play most of it like a third person shooter with no stealth, so yeah its possible. On hard and above? Forget about it, not enough ammo.

That's quite surprising. I thought that section was relatively easy because the runners would just keep dropping ammo.

Getting into the school was really hard for me though.

Hm, interesting. I am a mess with stealth games, I take forever only to still fuck it up. Despite getting it on release day on PS3 I still only ever played the game once, so I'm tempted to try a more unstealthy run this time. But man, I already would get screwed up just from being spotted I can't imagine Ramboing it on anything but Easy.

I'm about to open this copy now and play it. Never played this game before. I heard that Hard mode with listen mode turned off is the best way to play it.

This game scream that it has not been made for PS3

I enjoyed it like crazy there but damn thé ps4 make it a while new game. I played them all and beside infamous and killzone no game
Touch Tlou. It may even be thé best looking next gen game imho. 1080p60 make it absolutely crazy

Played the first hour or so. Great game is still great.

Despite being #teamgraphicswhore I haven't bothered the 30fps option yet. The shadows are just fine and honestly, the smoothness is nice. And damn is this a great looking game once more.

As always, the sound is magnificent and huge props to any game that has such detailed sound options. Just the placebo effect of being able to position your surrounds is palpable to me lol.

When you pause the game to go to the options menu, it's literally the second option down. It even has a little L3 icon illustrating the option.

Edit: wait, have you installed the game update?

My bad-- I thought the update had installed but it hadn't. I just quit out and I can see it now. Thanks.

Dammit, a couple hours in and I forgot the NG+ mode doesnt let you change difficulty. I think I'm gonna restart it on Survivor instead of hard since thats the one I'm going to want NG+ on.

Henry and Sam
and am calling it a night. This game on PS4 is marvellous. Attaining the platinum again should keep me occupied until Metro Redux comes out for even more post apocalyptic fun!

Does anyone with EU digital version have problems with pre-order DLC bonuses? None of them are recognized by the game, when I try to install them, it says they are already installed, but when I woke up today they all had error "Couldn't download" or something like that.

No upgrade bonuses, no crafting speed bonuses, no MP bonuses, even though in my library I can see 7 DLC items and all of them are "installed" despite displaying errors in notification menu.

People report that glitch still works, one that allows you to play NG+ with higher difficulty than your first run. You won't have your upgrades though (I think) but will get all your NG+ trophies.

Man, so I go on twitter every once in a while and search the #ps4share hashtag to see what people are playing. Or at least - what they are sharing.

There's a LOT of people playing TLOU right now....I'm really curious to see how it sells.

Yea I think ill stick it out on Hard for now and just play it on survivor after and see if the glitch works. If not, ill start from scratch on survivor.

This is so so SO good at 60fps! I had a look at the the 30fps mode for the shadows, nice they maybe but absolutely no way I'm sacrificing the glorious motion that 60fps is offering. Even at 60 the shadows are pretty good IMO. Having read The Verge interview I'm actually away with what they achieved in such a tiny time frame. I think UC4 is going to be more of a technical marvel than I initially thought! I've a new AV receiver to hook up now aswell so I'm hoping I made a good choice 8)

Pacing is not so hot in the quarantine zone. But once you get to Bill it's all good for the rest of the game.

The Remastered version? I don't know what you're going on about, but this game has been cleaned up to a technical mirror sheen. I'm noticing BARELY even a blade of grass pop in, and I obsess over the details and environments in this game. I pore over every little explorable spot.

So, no...to say it's "really bad"...I have no idea where one would get that phrase unless there's something wrong with their console.

Either that, or other people can back you up on that observation and I'll eat crow and file for being legally blind.

So, as someone playing for the first time, I have to say, this game fully justifies all the hype it has.

I've never seen such emotional voice acting (specially in the prologue when
Sarah dies
- this actually brought tears to my eyes). Framerate (60 FPS) is super tight and I haven't noticed any drops even with loads of NPCs on screen.

Graphics are very nice, specially when you take into account that this is a last gen game (but despite being perhaps the best looking console game of last gen, it kinda goes to show that there is a big gap between best of PS3 and earliest of PS4 (Killzone, Infamous), despite what some people claim, that there isn't a large enough gap between generations).

Gameplay in general is amazing, it's truly about survival. I love how the ammo is very scarce and you have to be careful with every shot, crafting system is great. Character animations are excellent.

Oh and by the way, once you go 60 FPS, there is no going back. I tried locking to 30 FPS and the moment I started turning around the camera, I almost screamed: GOD, NO!!!! Reverted to 60 FPS in about 5 seconds, never touched that unholy option again. I have no problem playing 30 FPS games, but given the choice, 60 FPS all the way.

If anybody wants to watch, I'm doing first playthrough on PS4. Technically I started on Survivor for about an hour or so into the game but I decided to go back from the start and do the run in Grounded instead.

I'm streaming for a friend who wants to watch a bit of gameplay while I chat with him on Skype but if anybody else want to see me fail at the game live here is the link:

Na, fuck it. Starting survivor, that's where the trophies are anyways. This is one of very few games where starting over after 3-4 hours is exciting.

Also, is there really no Grounded trophy? I checked the trophy list and didnt see anything, unless its the hidden trophy?

I think the game was understocked, most retailers in my area were sold out.

I never expected the MP to be so fun. I've always been a fan of the Search and Destroy playstyle from CoD, so seeing it being pulled off so well in this game makes me happy.

Grounded trophies are together with DLC trophies.

Maybe. Out of the 10 Beat Buys in my district, which is the DC, Maryland, Virginia metroplitian area only 4 stores have available stock in store and the rest says only available for shipping in the next few days. Note they all started today as pick up in store options.

I missed the multiplayer so much. I didnt play much of its MP last year. I am glad this game came out for ps4. I am loving the MP.

Futureshop is showing sold out online and they've turned off in-store reservation. The stores show as in stock but when they turn off reservation it usually means they're sold out and the online inventory just isn't updated yet.

Holy shit I'm starting to understand why everyone loves this game so much. I could not stop playing tonight because I want to know what happens next in the story. I'm not sure I've ever said that about a game before.
