Works for me. I consider Infinite fucking amazing and one of my top of all time. I hope Last of Us does this too, and I have a feeling it just might.

*pops in Infinite for shits and gigs*

I got the GOW HD dual pack and thought I could handle playing both back to back.

I thought

Um how can you even have a clue what is going on in 3 enough to say you aren't a fan anymore when you never played 2?

I own GOW3 and I havent even finished. Im not even halfway. I dont even know why I bought it in the first place. I guess it was to see how it would look on my TV but then I ended up too fucking bored before I got to the parts that I wanted to actually see in the first place. Shame.

God of War 3 blew its load in the opening 45 minutes.

God of War 2 was consistently good throughout.

On topic: The Last of Us will blow its load consistently throughout.

Ok.. TLOU will have multiple orgasms throughout the 15-20 play though.

However, GOW3 did not blow it's load. It just had some fantastic foreplay. ;)

Question:

I'm on a media blackout, last footage I watched was E3. Does the demo have the same camera angle as the E3 demo? Its closer than say, Uncharted and a bit to the side from what I remember. I hope it does, from a few screenshots I glanced it, the camera looks more pulled back.

I feel like it adds more tension and switches up the norm which is always a good thing.

People play God of War for the story?

God of War 1 is one of the best action games ever made for its set pieces and accessible, but still fun combo-driven gameplay. I could not give a fuck less about Kratos and his plight at all.

While its not among the best stories in gaming it still is pretty cool.
I felt that Kratos' storyline was sufficiently explored by the end of the first game.

But as I said, I did not enjoy the first game on the strengths of its character or plot, and by time I got around to GoW3 at launch after a 6(?) year break from the franchise I was no longer interested in the gameplay, either.

Some of the set pieces from God of War 1 will always go down in my memory for having my jaw on the floor and that experience was in no way close to being re-created by GoW3. Call me jaded.

"@TheKevinDent: David Cage should just do PR for Naughty Dog, they do what he aspires to be, but he sells it better. The lowest score I am hearing is 93/100"

"@TheKevinDent: It is incredibly rare for me to hear reviewers gush in unison about a game, but when I do I get that giddy feeling you get as a child!"

Did Derrick get permabanned? I miss his posts :/

I sure as hell don't. He's just so negative all the time.

GoWA was one I thought was piss poor. 1-3 were fantastic. I think they skipped around on the development team and lost focus on what the series was like.

I regret buying MMOs and War FPS since they are a dime a dozen.

Games like Uncharted I get more of an experience I'd want from any type of entertainment.

It's rich. But, as you know, beauty is as deep as folks are willing to look.

Who am I fooling... it's all subjective

I would say the God of War story is perfectly "fine" and "serviceable", but I didn't know people really cared about it at all. To me, God of War was always about the grandiose set pieces and fluid, accessible combat.

The Last of Us is the Cytherea of video games
I've seen a lot of Cytherea videos. I'm not sure how I feel about that comparison outside of multiple orgasms :P. She used to be hot and then got reeeeeeaaallly fucking ugly.

Let's hope TLoU doesn't follow that trend.

I hope TLoU gives me that feeling of being in (the good parts) of The Walking Dead. I hope Sony continues marketing TLoU to The Walking Dead crowd.

I hope not.

The Walking Dead (the show at least) succccks.

Wish Tell Tales Walking Dead was the show instead. So much better,

Jesus Christ at that Empire quote in the OP. Way to set the expectations bar to the max.....
It's not even a real review. It carries absolutely no weight whatsoever. Every word generated by the author is suspect and completely worthless.

I read the full review before it was pulled. It was like 2 paragraphs of complete shit.

I don't know about that, for me it was the Citizen Kane of The Last of Us reviews.

When are more reviews coming? I heard Wednesday but I'm not sure. Really looking forward to hearing what Sessler thinks of this one. His Infinite review was spot on and a lot of the Twitter buzz seems very similar to Infinite.

Empire do great film reviews.

Their game reviews, on the other hand, are terrible.

Embargo ends June 5th at 7AM PDT/10AM EDT.

Edit: Could a mod please put this in the title?

On a side note, all games that have received 10/10 from OPM UK turn out to be critically acclaimed. The only exceptions are the MLB: The Show games and even then these range from 87-91 on metacritic.
