For anyone worried about there not being good battle themes: don't. Check out this field boss's battle theme if you need to be reassured. Video title is slightly spoiler-y, but it's something we've seen in the trailers.
They are the same. Switch version has better resolution and sounds.Welp. Those look identical. Someone prove me wrong for $400.
The Edge review claims the Wii U version has more frequent framerate drops than Switch, but it's nothing that comes close to ruining the experience.

Switch
Framerate is noticeably worse in the Wii U version according to Edge and that tweet made recently in this thread.I wouldn't be surprised if the only difference to both versions is resolution and that's it. I'm pretty sure they wanted to give the same experience to switch and wiiu owners, they said so themselves.
How are you playing this? Early copy or on a modded Wii U?
....what?
Pretty sure this isn't from the final Wii U version since so far Nintendo has only sent out the Switch versions. So this comparison is pretty useless.

Fuck I really need to find a way to forget this game for 3 days. With all the spoilers going around, the youtubers acting like kids who can't keep their mouths shut, the impressions of a growing number of people... This is getting unbearable, this is the part where the hype stops being fun lol
Hype stops being fun in the last week

If anyone uses chrome you can use this video blocker to avoid spoilers on YouTube https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...hk?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog
Watched the first 15 minutes on Wii u and it's not bad

Non-spoilery pics I just took from the WiiU version:
The game looks beautiful.
Even when Zelda was at it's height in popularity, there were tons of gamers that never played a Zelda game. This is not something anyone should be surprised of.The most a Zelda game has sold is OOT at just under 11M. Tons of gamers have never played a Zelda game
Got it from here He claims that he got the game early. Looks like the final version.
Make a comparison GIF.

I've been watching the stream on and off and it really doesn't look like it's gonna be an issue. Just like the Switch version it is said to be worse in the GP, around heavy weather, and during heavy action with a lot of enemies but not enough to ruin the experience.I'm gonna need more impressions of the frame rate for the WiiU version. The graphics look good enough, but it's the performance that has me worried.
I sorta hope someone with an early copy goes into one of the more denser areas. So far the game seems pretty smooth on the plateau
Looks like I will be picking up the Wii U version. Looks close enough and saves me $300 from getting a Switch and its really more of a 'sit at home on my large TV kind of game' than a '2 hour bursts on a tiny screen game'.
Yeah, if only I could play my Switch version on the TV too!!!

All he's trying to say is that he's happy he doesn't have to blast through $300+ to play one game lol
It is pretty shocking that literally some of the first moments in the open world stutter so badly.

I am so torn right now. I'm considering what you're doing, cancelling my Switch/BotW/Pro Controller preorder and just keep the Wii U version. I don't mind paying for the new system, but will get little use outside of Zelda. If the Wii U version is good, that saves $370 until Mario Odyssey drops.
