Maybe you should do some research yourself: Ultima: The First Age of Darkness, 1981 to name at lease ONE open world before Zelda.

Ultima was not a true open-world game. It had an overworld hub map like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, not a fully-scaled open world like Zelda.

I don't believe that. The first The Legend of Zelda barely inspired its side-scroller sequel. You'd have to show me the interview where the developers of Grand Theft Auto, or The Witcher, or Far Cry (etc.) name The Legend of Zelda as an inspiration.

1. I play music (no video) from a location in the game for 30 seconds to prove one of my points. There is an in video disclaimer in case you want to skip ahead.

That 30 seconds of music from BOTW actually sounded really really good. I like the new direction. That Lost Woods theme is a nice jingle and it gets stuck in you head.. but it gets tiring after a while. Otherwise it's refreshing to hear some criticism of this game.

Your assuming that sites have an integrity to begin with, for the whole "paid reviews" to be possible sites must had no integrity to begin with. In this imaginary scenario BOTW wouldn't had been the first game to pay to get higher reviews . It is safe to assume that Horizon,Uncharted 1,2,3, Halo 4, Last of Us, Witcher 3 etc all had paid reviews.

This game is so overrated...Its not even good as witcher 3 or gta 5 but early copies of this game getting 10 and 9s.. the reviewers were either paid or because they have got the overpriced switch along with zelda and other gamesand other exclusive stuffs for free from nintendo, they gave this game high scores. I knew these reviews were fake. I said my friend a nintendo worshipper he is, not to buy the switch or this game but i couldnt convince him coz of his blind love towards his idol nintendo. after he got the system and we played together about a day zelda and other games on the switch now he feels completely cheated. he regrets now for wasting his 350euros on the switch and another 60 euros for this trash game. this game is bad with performance issues with flashy ugly graphics with almost no anti aliasing. it was just a horrible experience.I am posting this review after taking a pill for the headache. I hope metacritic wont delete my review coz the nintenzombies gonna mass flag it...

I never thought I'd say this, but in the 8 hours I played of it last night/this morning - it truly is shaping up to be a better game than Ocarina Of Time.
