I got that same fi spoiler。 Pissed me off because that was the first instance where I didnt instantly know the solution。

Just reached the (post ..6th dungeon spoilers, I guess? I can't count.)
Sky keep, amazing how they put this together, the interchangable jigsaw puzzle rooms is really an interesting idea, got my first triforce part today, can't wait to continue with the rest tomorrow.

Also, all those pre-courage triforce piece fights in a row were intense, if I didn't have a fairy on me the room with the stalfos + archers really would've messed me up badly.)

So, quick question here:

Is
The Sky Keep
the final dungeon? It's looking awfully final to me, what with the
Triforce being marked on the map
and all. Does this end with the final boss? Or do I fight that somewhere else?

So what is everybody's favorite track in the game?

The Romance theme is my favorite. It's really moving.

Bamboo Island gets a mention too.

Yeah, that is the final dungeon. You fight the final boss somewhere else though.

Yeah, Bamboo Island theme is fantastic. So zen and relaxing. Love it.

So what is everybody's favorite track in the game?

My favorite tracks would be:
- Ballad of the Goddess [which was no used enough during the game, IMO]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4ReyoNpyrM
- Mini boss theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiYecdMH94w
- 3rd Ghirahim fight [because of the chorus]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJiHlmQLkzQ

Other ones I really really liked:
- Din's power: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=PMxLkGT5cMU
- Batreaux's Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTjydRqpyqQ
- Orchestrated Groose's Theme
- Bamboo Island

Am I the only one who thinks that while the OST is fantastic (and I absolutely love it), it's somewhat forgettable? I mean, I still recall tunes from OOT, MM, TWW, TP... but with this game, I have a hard time remembering them. It's weird.

Thanks, I can still do sidequests after this dungeon, then? So the does not end with
Link getting the Triforce? So either I'm about to get it, then lose it again, or the final boss is a really serious threat.

I probably don't need to worry. The exposition sword-fairy would never let me pass the point of no return without a warning. Right?

Ballad of the Goddess is used heaps I thought, though in much more mellow arrangements. And you might want to spoiler tag
Ghirahim. I've only fought him twice so far (even though a third was obvious :p)

And I don't know, I constantly have different tunes from SS running through my head. I think they'll become even more recognisable after a replay of the game. The OST absolutely brilliant imo.
I'll make a list of my favourite tunes after I finish the game. I'll probably spoil something if I try and search through Youtube.

Yeah, but it makes absolutely no story sense to stop right before the point of no return and go off to do sidequests.

anyone know which song was used during the first lizalfos fight? or rather for all of them? ive been youtubing for a lizalfos theme or another kind of mini boss music but no luck so far

i think thats because this game has a more complex soundtrack thats less focused on simple catchy tunes and more emphasis on something epic and cinematic. some of the music sounds straight out of a disney film as well. i constantly hum the flying and fi's theme and ballad of the goddess is just incredible

i thought TP had a pretty forgettable soundtrack, sans the midna one. it also had my least favorite overworld theme as well. i remember WW having great music too but i can only remember the start screen and dragon roost music off the bat

So what is everybody's favorite track in the game?

"Romance" and "Fi's Theme" are the standouts for me.

I'm actually not a fan of "Ballad of the Goddess." It's a bit dull compared to previous main themes. When you factor in the bombast and the number of repetitions, it begins to feel like a blunt instrument.

EDIT: I really liked the themes for Batreaux and Groose as well. Very funny.

Haha. During the final boss, I laughed as
notes from Groose's theme popped up. Weird as hell.

I'm in the same boat. It is weird.

I think it's the orchestrated effect. Was the same with the Galaxy games with me. The production values are through the roof, but the iconic tune kinda gets lost in the bombastic setting.

Post 6th dungeon. Need helps

I just got in the flooded forest. Am I supposed to be able to go in the tree? I have no idea what to do.

Well, I played Xenoblade, so I do know about doing sidequests that don't make any sense storywise. Like being trapped on an island, the quick traveling away to do sidequests, the quick travel back to find a way off the island. But I think I should do the Zelda sidequests before the final dungeon, anyway.

Also, I realized something about bottles.
Sure, I get five of them, but I only have room for eight items, one of those being the shield, so I'm down to two spots left, which would probably be filled with Life Medals. Uh, that might be bottle overkill...

But you DO have an idea where to go. You are right, go inside the tree from below.

I had the same issue with the OST. It didn't leave much of an impression while I was playing aside from the credits and XXXX. I actually felt like TP had the better ost.

However, once I sat down and just listened to the OSTs I had the exact opposite opinion. SS's OST is absolutely amazing.

It just doesn't come across while playing it for some reason.

Spoiler that man :/ ugh

Anyway, I think SS's music is better than TP. However, hearing TP orchestrated improves it greatly

Am at the final dungeon after 52 hours, guess I am able to complete it by tonight. I realized that there are not much varieties in terms of enemies, usually the usual suspect eg. slimes, bats, orge

After some sidequesting (about 40 gratitude crystals), and getting the Hylian Shield, I beat the game in 30 hours. I am too good for Zelda dammit. :p!

I was a bit disappoint that they used Bobolkins over and over again but in different costumes.
Dungeon 4 had the perfect opportunity for redeads, which would have been awesome.

Ugh. I've hated
redeads
in their 3d incarnation from the start. Sure,
it was a good jump scare the first couple of times but after that it's so annoying the way they just stopped the whole goddamn game every time

Fair enough, that can get annoying. Though I still think that whole
basement area of dungeon 4 would have been much creepier with redeads, even without their freeze ability. Especially climbing the rope with them chasing after you. I just don't find Bobolkins threatening at all lol.

My favorite track might be the one from areas in the
Sand Sea like the Skipper's Retreat

It really sets the mood for those areas, and really sad because
you see all those robots that are long broken. In fact the entire area is pretty much dead, so the music really fits.

Okay, I've been listening to some songs. SS's music is obviously better produced and sounds better, etc, but I still like twilight princess's main theme more and so the end credits I'll still say are better on TP's side of things. That said listening to other songs in SS, I guess you're right. I just did not notice a lot of them in general while playing. A lot of the music in TP I still enjoy more, but now I definitely have some new favorites. Also more on the "it could go either way for me" side of which I like better overall now :p

I actually like the Silent Realm sections. They are short and fun. Not overly difficult or tedious. I beat them on the first or second try.

The fetch quests to go get songs are ridiculous though. They are the very definition of a filler fetch quest. Go there, come back. Nothing exciting to even look at in between and no other reason why you would be going there in the first place.

[spoilers, spoilers everywhere (pre-final dungeon in particular]

i disagree with this. filler would be something like the
the escort mission. the only main difference is that it's done to make you use the bow. or the revisit of the first temple. both are literal retreads of the exact same area with no variation or new puzzles (except you could swim in the temple now, and you could use arrows against the bokoblins, i guess).

lanayru has an entire new area to run through, and the other two change up the level design in big ways. eldin's a stealth thing, but i thought it was well done. it was treated like a remix of the area rather than a pure retread. faron woods has the game's most hated section for many people, and i think most of everything related to faron woods was pretty weak, but the idea that you're now swimming through this geography you had to climb and adventure around was pretty cool, and once you were underwater it was easy to control. the tadtones required either precision or problem-solving to get all of them. they weren't all just randomly placed wherever. this is a difference between something like the end of the wind waker.

the wind waker's quest for the triforce pieces would have been good if all it was was finding the pieces in those dungeon areas, but taking maps to tingle and paying him to translate them and then forcing you to set sail to several random parts of the map really sucked. there was no point, no challenge to it. no variation in the world design or anything.

the real filler in skyward sword was bullshit like flying back to the thunderhead every goddamn time. still not as bad as sailing around the sea at least.

When does the
Ballad of the Goddess even play other than when Zelda plays it on the harp and in the credits?

Monster's Inc boss was amazing, didn't know whether to hug him or beat him.

My Beetle is fully upgraded, my is my Net and my Shield is a Goddess. Now onto the
final flame
.

I feel absolutely no sympathy for the Robots. They are very lame characters. While I don't care for the tribes as characters, I do like their designs. I can't say the same for the bots. I think they're pretty stupid looking.

I don't know why, but it's very hard to connect to any of the characters on the surface. All of the Skyloftians are awesome, but even the Gorons are boring.

I can't seem to beat this last part of the pumpkin landing questline.
The rhythm part. It's so fucking annoying cause I'm horrible at it. I follow their hands but I can't seem to get past it. What kind of crap is that?
Any good tips?

So I just completed the third dungeon and still have not gotten any monster claws. Where's the best place to kill Keese and grind for them?

It took me four or five tries to get the tune down. If you get most of it right but then mess it up at the end, you'll have to do it over. Just keep at it.

Not sure about the best place, but they're pretty common. Skyloft at night has them around in places, and they're in the very first cave you go through over on the east side of town. I want to say nearly every main dungeon has some form of them.

There's a murder of crows in Faron Woods near the Viewing Platform. Killing each one is 20 rupees plus possible Monster Claws

I don't remember seeing the crows anywhere else

I don't know if I'm doing it right though. I'm following their arms but the game doesn't really have a way of telling you if you're doing good besides obviously doing it. I hate this kind of stuff.

I ignored everything else and went with one basic
rhythm
. Nothing fancy. No variations to it. She told me it was shit, but I finished the quest and I'll never do it again.

Very late game question for those that have already finished the game:

I'm doing the Thunder Dragon boss rush and he keeps telling me to quit now if I want a certain prize. I'm at the ninth boss and he said the prize for this one was the "absurdly sturdy shield" he kept boasting about. If I don't quit after boss nine do I now get it? Or am I getting all the prizes?

Please answer quickly!

Oh my god

I just finished the post-dungeon 6 multi-layer fetch quest and was totally not expecting the thing that I got to be the thing that it was.

So awesome.

And is
the song that plays outside the portal to the last silent realm a piece borrowed from OoT's Kokiri theme?

Fucking love this game.
