Which is completely fucked if true. I know two people who own a 3DS and one of them lives hours away from me.

That is really disappointing.

Has anyone does this yet? How many tokens does one person get per play? Can you play multiple stages with two of the same people and keep getting them?

So much studying to do for midterms AND I work in a few hours so I haven't even been able to crack the shrink wrap on this game yet. This thread is tempting me!

On a side note, my girlfriend also bought this game. Can we play with just the 2 of us and a bot in any mode or at least online with a random 3rd person?

Is this game even possible in single player? I tried for a couple of minutes to pass the 4th Volcano level but there's a short-timer, 3-switch part on crumbling platforms that seems way too unforgiving to accomplish.

It seems like its all doable, the game even tracks completion for solo separate from co-op.

Definitely a trying experience though.

Oh, where does it track that? Just the stage selection screen? If so, it looked the same as it did for multiplayer when I played last night.

I've played online with some others on gaf and have encountered very little lag/problems.

Its shocking just how dense people can be online. Just had a hell of a time beating the Water Temple boss. The worst part of it was that it wasn't even figuring out how to do things, it was getting the people to repeat what they had just done. Like the dude with the Water Rod made a platform, I got on top of it and stunned the boss. This guy follows that up by... running around and not making any platforms. We just did it! Just keep doing that!

Or when a boss needs a specific item on top of the totem and the other person grabs the only person in the group that DOESN'T have that item to go on top. Then spams "carry" emotes at you like you're the one screwing everything up.

Did manage to beat the Water Temple boss, though. Then got a connection error immediately after, so I didn't actually get any credit!

I'm playing with two friends now and we all want specific materials to make different costumes, is there a way to divide the loot so we get that we want?


This may be old news, but if anyone is having connection issues you could try changing the channel on your wireless network. I just got my 3ds a couple days ago and ended up switching my 2.4ghz channel (i only normally use the 5ghz for my phone), got great connection after switching.

So.. All my worries about this game were immediately erased! I must have gotten lucky because every player I was grouped with was awesome and we were able to figure everything out in all the levels we played.

Had about 3 disconnects then played several levels with some solid team mates. This game can be stupid fun. The whole fabulous angle that permeates the town and dialogue makes for a refreshing take on the Zelda world. Game looks nice, music is very well done. I had no idea I wanted this game until I got to play it.
