My local Target had some LEGO sets slapped with clearance stickers. I snagged a Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship set for $42, but that's it. The rest were Pirates of the Carribean sets.
I also snagged one of the new Monster Fighters sets, the Hearse. Looks like a fun build!
Why was it rejected in the first place?
They looked at minecraft sales and opened it back up.![]()
Shit. My target didn't clearance it. Will keep an eye out.I saw the lighthouse on clearance today also.
Target has some clearance, finally. All of Alien Conquest, Harry Potter, and some Star Wars. Grabbed Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracer set for $45, which is half off. Also got a PotC set just for the gold and buillion.
Another Target I went to had the same Podracer set at 25% off; go figure, as that one is in a nicer (richer) part of town.

Mine did have Queen Anne's Revenge for $85. Still not a big enough discount.
My wife and I went to Italy almost 10 years ago and we visited the Colosseum. Our tour guide pointed out that there were little holes all over the stone which was where marble plates used to be anchored. So I'm guessing that the Colosseum was covered with whitish marble back in the day.Why is it white?
Man, LEGO Nintendo sets would be a gold mine. Not doing it is just leaving money on the table.
I would buy the living shit out of a Brinstar LEGO set.

I gave our nabours kid a LEGO set for her fifth birthday,
I was too optimistic regarding her LEGO skills, she had a really tough time building it.
so my advice would be to make sure to get her something she can handle.
ie no small parts nothing too complicated.
I think one of the bigger boxes with lots of "plain" bricks and only a few specials would be a good starting point, I wish I had gotten that.
something like this

I'm sure this has been asked numerous times before, but what's the best and easiest way to effectively and thoroughly clean LEGO? My Skeleton Ship Attack set arrived today (yes, it's awesome), but it's not as clean as I'd like. Pretty dusty, and some of the white pieces are discolored or have some marks on them. Is there anything I can do to lighten the whites, or to remove the dust without having to scrub at every stud? I appreciate any assistance in advance, of course. I love you all. This thread makes me happy. Thumbs up.
Picked up a toy story polybag for me today @ Target for 1.98 on clearance, got my son the Captain America set and my daughter one of the friends sets don't remember which.
Then tomorrow I may swing by Toys'r'us and see if they still have some of the Batman polybags left and grab a couple minifigs while I'm at it
Shit shit shit. Lego just put the haunted house price up to £150. It had been £120 before. It was pet shop price, now it's town hall![]()

Yaktuu put up the instructions for the Winchester, along with an LDD file and other stuff.

Nice, even the mini scale one is neat, this I would get as opposed to the mine raft one.Lego un-rejected the Portal 2 Cuusoo and opened it back up to voting.

I don't usually get Star Wars sets but I got it for the minifigs. The only Star Wars set I'd be tempted to get for the set alone would be the Death Star.
I have the mines of moria on layby too, looking forward to getting that, then I can do a LOTR Ikea Frame.
Also double check Target for mini figs. They usually have them attached to the side of an endcap in the Lego aisle. It is a rather flat display and easy to miss. Especially because the series 7 display is red and blends in with the Target colors and makes it very easy to overlook.
DO IT! And since you love mini figs, that set is insane for the number of figures it gives you as well. But the set is probably the best set I have ever gotten. So much fun, and an awesome play piece for mini figures to display as well.
Buy it. There is nothing wrong with being proud of the technological terror you will construct.
I'd love to, just have to fit it in somewhere, I want to order a set of the olympic minifigures from the UK, I need to pay off my layby for the mines of moria, series 8 of the collectible minifigures will be out in september and I want to get the monster fighters haunted house as well! urgh.
On top of that the Death Star is RRP$700 here in Australia
How do you just buy a set of minifigs? Can you buy a box from Lego, or would you bricklink them?
Bricklink or eBay
Didn't end up getting the Shuttle Expedition set. In typical fashion I had to get something though so I walked out with the Lighthouse and Power Armor Lex.
Attempted my first ever 3D MOC bust tonight. Tried to use only pieces from my old 80s sets and not dip into my newer stuff. Just for the challenge.
Lots of room for improvement, but I think good for my first ever attempt at something like this and how hastily I threw it together. I particularly like the posable eyebrows on the bust to reflect Phoney Bone's mood.
