At some point, they've surely got to get rid of the helmets. What was the point of casting Pedro in the role.Mando didn’t take his helmet off for the entire season. Anyone who seriously thinks Pedro is ever in the suit or even on set anymore is delusional.
Agreed, the "never take off the helmet" thing worked ok when it was just Mando by himself, but it CLEARLY has issues when there are large groups of them together, plus the armor doesn't do a great job differentiating between characters so it is getting hard to keep track of them.At some point, they've surely got to get rid of the helmets. Maybe MILF Katan riding the MILFosaur will give her the authority to tell everyone to remove them.
No way he's in that tin suit, at all
It takes a while to brake down the appalling writing and the things it does well is mostly superficial.Jesus.......two hours for Part 1????
I mean, I hate Disney's Star Wars don't get me wrong but that is absurd. Just come to Warhammer already lol.

At least they can be funny in their breakdowns as opposed to the other side that just tells you:Like other addictions, it appears that after building up a resistance from excessive hate train it takes a lot and is difficult to move on.
And there does seem to be a small segment of the population that wants to be told what their opinion is no matter how long it takes for them to learn it.
Other side?... It is funny in a human behavior way, the obsession to see an "other side" makes sense in an addictive way. The enjoyment for something would feed the hate addictive... Stop liking what I'm liking in a repeating madness that could run for hours, over and over.At least they can be funny in their breakdowns as opposed to the other side that just tells you:

All fine and dandy, don't think anyone was advocating for watching critic videos as a substitute of the original show if they ever had an interest in watching it.What I was talking about was forming one's own opinion, with alacrity, and moving on, without cyclic attachments beyond one's own direction.
Those that go on about the shows longer than the shows themselves could easily be dismissed as rage farming. Brevity and trust in the audience allows the educated to hit touchstones obliquely and move quickly. Low info and education, barriers to learning, takes hours and hours of repeating basics in simple ways, before moving on,...or repeating the same cycle again.I was talking about people who write off any YT critics as rageclick farmers in order to avoid dealing with criticisms brought up, if you weren't then I misunderstood you.

The villain wasn't defined until the end. There was foreshadowing with Pershing. The arc of taking back Mandalore was strongly foreshadowed(even told!), but was overlooked. Without being laid out plainly and put together to be easy to follow, to know what is happening, I think, makes the Prequel generation angry. Generally. So, I didn't like S1 and stopped there, but recently I surprisingly saw some fanboy acquaitance say that this season is pure shit and everybody hates it. He usually loves anything popular especially SW. Is it really this bad?
By those who judge books by their covers yeah. Those that go on about the shows longer than the shows themselves could easily be dismissed as rage farming.
What dictates that a breakdown of each episode's plot/events of a season and how it jives with what's established before should be brief? There could be lots of things worth pointing out, doesn't mean you're low IQ if you're interested in hearing about it. And usually it goes into details why something is bad/mid/good and I assume the average viewer has the intelligence to discern good and bad arguments made.Brevity and trust in the audience allows the educated to hit touchstones obliquely and move quickly. Low info and education, barriers to learning, takes hours and hours of repeating basics in simple ways, before moving on,...or repeating the same cycle again.
To make a one's own opinion quickly doesn't require more.By those who judge books by their covers yeah.

And it can change in light of strong evidence/arguments.To make a one's own opinion quickly doesn't require more.
Usually it's describing what's happening with the story/plot, the likely interpretation the show has and then explaining what's wrong/good with it with info/examples from the same show/universe.What takes that need hours to explain? What's your take aways from when you watch these. Elaborate on that.
That seems like the sort of thing that could be conveyed within seconds between anyone familiar with the material, even with a degree of pedantry. And it can change in light of strong evidence/arguments.

It's a breakdown of each episode of season 3, not a summary. I don't see why only the latter can have merit. That seems like the sort of thing that could be conveyed within seconds between anyone familiar with the material, even with a degree of pedantry.
Hours wouldn't be for newbies.
I look for interesting details that the show has overlooked or forgotten about and then getting criticized/roasted for it and not to decide if I think the show is good or not.Is that all you take away from spending that much time on these shows to make your basic opinions on that level?
Hours about the details that aren't in the shows is a treasured investment that is best kept obscure and not used for that decision? It's a breakdown of each episode of season 3, not a summary. I don't see why only the latter can have merit.
Things like themes, connective tissue, character/world building or the plot structure of the shows often aren't well described quickly without going into detail.

Eh, I don't think the season handled it's overall plot arc particularly well. The "discovery" of Gideons shuttle reeked of "plot contrivance" as did all the conclusions the x-wing guy made from it. The entire Mandalore thing was terribly written, since it seems like the planet is just a quick hop for EVERYONE, and not only is the planet NOT uninhabitable, it is in fact STILL OCCUPIED by Mandalorians?!? Plus groups of mandos were continually handed their ass throughout the season, but then they spend a few eps securing a viable base, only to abandon it an episode later to go...back to Mandalore? A planet that the Empire has established an entire well fortified base for some reason? The villain wasn't defined until the end. There was foreshadowing with Pershing. Where're you pulling this from? Even if it's not in the show, if it was established somewhere else in the SW canon then it's OK to bring up if it confirms/contradicts something in the show.Hours about the details that aren't in the shows is a treasured investment that is best kept obscure and not used for that decision?
The stuff with Pershing showed that Gideon was still around. Ep. 3? Clones., blood samples, etc. Imperial remnants with a clear strong presence after they wiped out Bo Katan's citadel had to be somewhere near they could hide. An outpost on Mandalore for remnants and someone like Gideon does work.Eh, I don't think the season handled it's overall plot arc particularly well. It's all just sloppy shit. And for anyone who says "well, it's just Star Wars" I would normally nod and agree but even for all the plot holes it just WASN'T FUN. Mando was doing mando things, Grogu has worn thin, and there was so many pointless tangents and uninteresting time spent with uninteresting people that it is hard to recommend the season outside of a few choice battles.
From that you watch hours of these shows and won't elaborate. That's fine. Keep it to yourself.Where're you pulling this from? Even if it's not in the show, if it was established somewhere else in the SW canon then it's OK to bring up if it confirms/contradicts something in the show.
Elaborate on what exactly? You just threw out a premise I question since I doubt you watched (enough of) the video. I've watched breakdowns of MCU movies/shows and SW shows and often found them entertaining and informative about their world building. From that you watch hours of these shows and won't elaborate. That's fine. Keep it to yourself.
What you get out of these videos that takes hours? You said interpretation and details that aren't included in the shows.Elaborate on what exactly? And since I often find these breakdowns entertaining I make time to watch them.
I find it fascinating how these expensive shows can drop the ball so hard when it comes to writing and being inconsistent with what's previously established. And sometimes I fantasize what could've been if the writing had been given as much care as the visuals. What you get out of these videos that takes hours?
I said from the same show/universe. I find it puzzling how you conclude that it's exclusively from outside the show from that. You said interpretation and details that aren't included in the shows.
And you could've watched the video and debunked it (enough) to show me my bad taste in breakdown videos. In the time you've been dancing around to get views for that video you could have written out at least 10 specific things, on some level,
If you're going to criticise something it seems important to me that you've described well enough what you're criticising first and from what angle you're coming from.that need hours of investment to understand a likely interpretation of details not included in the shows.
That level of understanding doesn't at all sound like it needs hours.: "expensive" "drop ball so hard" "writing" "inconsistent" and "what's established" are buzzwords to go along with "likely interpretation" and details not in the show. Are they just repeated for hours to shoehorn details that aren't in the shows for an interpretation?I find it fascinating how these expensive shows can drop the ball so hard when it comes to writing and being inconsistent with what's previously established.

You don't seem to grasp that a breakdown video covers most of the movie/series and thus it gets long very quickly.
If you're going to criticise something it seems important to me that you've described well enough what you're criticising first and from what angle you're coming from.
Again, breaking down entire episodes/movie is time consuming and then depending on the amount perceived problems found the runtime and quickly balloon going over those problems. It's a breakdown, not the 10 worst problems with mando s3.That level of understanding doesn't at all sound like it needs hours.: "expensive" "drop ball so hard" "writing" "inconsistent" and "what's established" are buzzwords to go along with "likely interpretation" and details not in the show.
Depends entirely on the events in the plot how they lend themselves to problems when bad/inconsistent writing is involved. Are they just repeated for hours to shoehorn details that aren't in the shows for an interpretation?
I never said one should watch breakdown videos as a substitute of the show so I don't know you're talking to here. If someone's interested what problems one could have with mando s3 then this video sheds light on issues with the writing.Which was counter to my point, that was people will watch the tv shows themselves and form their own interpretations, even to a degree of pedantry, and move on. Perhaps to a greater degree than hours of watching the video your posted.
Never said one should accept everything in breakdown videos as fact. I don't see the issue in presenting this point of view of the mando s3 show on a forum. What I saw seemed convincing enough there's issues with the writing and narrative structure, others will have to decide that for themselves after watching the video.People should make up their own minds how convincing the argumentation is and not just blindly accept what's being said. Since you won't talk about it, and you are the one posting the video, we might never know.
They've made no criticisms made, only vague negative buzzwords, and a hours long video that can't be summarized by the one that watched it and posted it.Ulysses 31 Don’t bother responding to that other guy. Probably a fanboy who dismisses criticisms with “it’s just a show, calm down, move on”. And he’s baiting you by asking stupid questions really.
What are these problems that are in the video you posted that take hours to explain? What even is the likely interpretation you hinted at that needs hours of support?Again, breaking down entire episodes/movie is time consuming and then depending on the amount perceived problems found the runtime and quickly balloon going over those problems. Issues with the writing. If you want to know more, there's a video that can explain it better than me typing it out here. What are these problems that are in the video you posted that take hours to explain?
It's describing the events/plot of the show in good faith basically. And since it's a breakdown of the entire season it's a long process that takes up hours with describing the problems with certain events. What even is the likely interpretation you hinted at that needs hours of support?
It's all in good fun for me.Ulysses 31 Don’t bother responding to that other guy. Probably a fanboy who dismisses criticisms with “it’s just a show, calm down, move on”. And he’s baiting you by asking stupid questions really.
If it's the video you watched and posted it doesn't seem to have benefited you in any way to pointing out specifics about the tv show. You haven't said anything that makes your video appear to be anything more than hours of rage bait that you enjoy.Issues with the writing. Why would I go over the trouble of doing the same the video already does(duplication of effort)? If you can point out a big flaw in the video then sure I'll have another look and type out if I think you made a good observation of not.If it's the video you watched and posted it doesn't seem to have benefited you in any way to pointing out specifics about the tv show. To show that's it's something other than hours of ragebait likely interpretation indoctrination? Why would I go over the trouble of doing the same the video already does(duplication of effort)? It's for those interested hearing what someone thinks has made a convincing case of showing mando s3 has writing issues.
You can check for yourself, why is it up to me to convince you?To show that's it's something other than hours of ragebait likely interpretation indoctrination?
Then watch the video and point out big flaws if you want to discuss the video with me. Otherwise I'll just refer you to the video if you want to see mando s3 writing issues. For the discussion of the show that you watched and claimed to be concerned about?
There's a lot so if you want to discuss a specific one, go ahead and give me the timestamp.Use takewaways you got from the video to talk about the show on the forum?
You posted the video for discussion. If you watched it you should be able to summarize what takes hours to explain. You can check for yourself, why is it up to me to convince you?
I think the video stands well enough on its own but if you don't believe me then feel free to ignore it.

Nah, I've said multiple times already why the video is so long(it's a complete breakdown) and if you can't wrap your head around it, that's your issue. You posted the video for discussion. If you watched it you should be able to summarize what takes hours to explain.
There's too much in the video to discuss so you'll have to point something out specifically with a timestamp.Your evasiveness makes it appear that you neither watched the video you're championing nor The Mandalorian Season 3.

Do I need to have watched Obi-Wan Kenobi to see certain parts have issues?
Same thing here, the video presents issues clear enough IMO even if you haven't seen mando s3.
What does this even mean? The only breakdown you've shown from that video is the one it puts its veiwers in.
Certain parts can be so obviously bad that they can be pointed out fairly by outside sources. As I said, you can keep what takes you hours to learn to yourself, if you learned anything at all from that video.
It means fabrications breakdown when stretched. What does this even mean?
Certain parts can be so obviously bad that they can be pointed out fairly by outside sources.
He plays the parts that are being criticized and has videos of his examples so it'd be we easy to take down the video if he's completely making things up.It means fabrications breakdown when stretched.
In a complete breakdown you go over most of the episodes/movie so it's usually much longer.Criticisms have been given in shorter critical videos and comments in the thread, concisely.
And you've not shown the video to be wrong about anything so far. If it's as bad faith as you say it is it should be easy to start discrediting the video for me and others. You don't even understand that video or The Mandalorian to be able to explain beyond buzzwords, even in point form, what took hours of listening to that video for you. It's spam.
You are getting confused. They may be making things up too, that's besides the point. You don't seem to have learned anything from the video and are scrambling to make things up in an attempt to cover that. There's no point to watching your spam.He plays the parts that are being criticized and has videos of his examples so it'd be we easy to take down the video if he's completely making things up.
