I draw nudes, but I don't consider it explicit. I never draw overtly sexual stuff, like Penthouse material, if that's what you mean.

Hmm...guess the others aren't going to admit it, so I'll just add yet another of my sketches that are amounting to a huge backlog of things I'll someday want to color. I found out that the one class I have on Wednesdays was cancelled for this week, so that meant I have no classes from 2:15pm today, until 11:00am on Thursday, although I should really find some productive thing to do.

I used to paint a few erotic nudes, back when I first discovered Drew Posada and Hajime Sorayama's art. Grew out of it eventually though.

On the subject of nudity, it's been allowed in other art threads. As long as it isn't sexually explicit or tasteless, I don't think it'll violate TOS. Sporsks seems pretty fair when judging what is allowed and what isn't. To be honest, I'm more taken aback by seeing women hanged/choking a lot more than seeing some nudity. I may even post a nude later, if I feel like it.

Xkiko, your art is flippin' crazy! Nice job!

Then just think of the dimensional implosion that could result if I didn't censor the previous drawings and you got both! ;)

Building this for my friend who is making a indie game about space pirates.
These are my image layouts before i start modeling. I dont paint very well but I'm gonna try some different tricks like false modeling to get some of the really minute details.

Damn, that looks like an extremely complicated model Black. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. Btw, are you still planning on re-doing the sasquatch sculpture or did you give up?

I hope i can do the drawings justice this is my release from reading tech manuals and doing web research.

HMMM the Sasquatch (I tore the legs off completely and started over)
However, I am doing a 3D version (cheaper and less messy) that will have hair and muscle simulation.
I've been doing a lot of research about rigging and skinning ...frankly...I've got a metric ass ton to learn.... :0
I've escaped mel for as long as I could it seems it's slimy reach has cornered me.

Dammit XS I just spend an hour coloring the last one!!!!

Xkiko, Im sure I saw that abstract design of yours in a design mag the other day. Has it ever been in a magazine or was it just a similar design.

Oh and those wasp photos are awesome.

That's an awesome carrot! kerPOW! What do you use for reference concerning your poses? I need to learn how to make my work more dynamic.

I like the carrot, haha. It reminds me of earthworm jim for some reason.

I know its not very arty or anything but I just finished putting together this panaramic shot of the old city in rome. Took me ages to correct it all cause it was shot without a tripod =(

Drat, I drew one of my best tonight, but it's definitely one I can't even post here or upload to my school webspace :-/

Love the carrot though; the second pic's pose makes it the superior of the two IMO.

Cool Ninja Carrot. Perhaps you could have him fighting a bunch of Samurai Rabbits. ;)

Here's a portrait that I'm now working on. Needless to say, it needs a lot of work.

I've finally been introduced to the wonderful world of DeviantArt. It's definitely a lot more open and feature-rich than Elfwood, although with so many people posting so much, you sort of get drowned out pretty quickly I guess.

Anyway, here is my DeviantArt gallery.

I tried doing a 'samurai celery' villian but that was a little too lame for my likes..

Tell me what the heck a chocopop is and I'm on it.

HAWT!

Because I've never been known to stick to working on only one piece of art at a time... Here are a couple of portraits that I'll be working on, along with the portrait already posted.

These two are very early "works in progress" with neither having been worked on for more than 15 minutes.

what kind of Wacom would you guys reccomend for a first time digital painter?

I started with a Graphire 4X5, but I only used it for about a year.
http://www.wacom.com/graphire/4x5.cfm

Now I have an Intuos2 6X8. When I got my Graphire, they didn't come in 6X8, so the next size up was an Intuos. If I were you, I'd go for the Graphire3 6X8. The larger tablet feels a lot more natural than the tiny, cramped 4X5. It's worth the extra $100 for the size.

I've had my Intuos2 for about a year, and I figure in another half year to a year I'll be getting an Intuos3 9X12. The threes are so much more functional than the twos. All those new buttons and a 5 button mouse. I want :(

Wow, some very impressive artwork in here. It's funny, I never come to the wrong side of the trac... um, here, to this forum.... but I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed this thread.

Anyway, this is just about the only thing I can post until I get some real equipment! The only thing noteworthy about the drawing: Unfinished, done in Microsoft paint w/optical mouse - in the opposite hand I draw with. It's strange how my right hand got so used to handling a mouse that I needed it for control. I gotta look into one of those tablets.

No, it certainly hasn't.

Wait a sec... Are you saying you're left-handed and yet did this with your right-hand? Entirely by mouse (no scan)? Using MSPaint? Holy shit! That's impressive... damned impressive.

:) Thanks for the acknowledgement, buddy, but I'm not all that savvy with electronic media, which is clear by my primitive methods.

I started playing with some new custom papers, brushes, and pencils today. I have a few sketches and this speed painting.

:lol Nice Crow Mana. Or should that be, not so nice? ;) Strangely enough, I've been thinking of doing some avian art lately. However, I told myself that I'd work on getting my portrait rendering skills up. So da birds will have to wait.

Here's a progress report on one of the portraits I'm working on. It still is a work in progress though.

Here's another ink sketch. Same character from that action pose thing from a couple pages ago. I really need to work on my ink shading; it's so much easier with a pencil. I wish more people would comment on the lovely hangings in my deviantArt gallery :p
