Probably someone who once saw the THX mode on a DVD and now thinks they're an expert on screen calibration
This craziness happens every single time a new iOS device launches, people lose their minds because the color temperature doesn't look identical to their old device. Some examples:

No and I'll bet any color difference that poster is seeing is simply due to the neighboring color (of the bezel) to the screen. That or the settings between the two are different.

New iPad not showing up wirelessly in iTunes. Anyone know why this might be?

I can see some backlight in the bottom right corner if I turn the brightness up to max and put on a letterboxed film. that's the only time. not enough to warrant an exchange unless I'm the exception rather than the standard.

Am I wrong for using Plex as my main streaming app? I trust the name from the XBMC port for Mac, and it has a great UI and doubles as a cool remote for your server software on your comp.
Air video is the one I use. Love it.
You can beam photos between iDevices on the same network with iPhoto.

I've using this since last night for about five hours and I got to say this thing is amazing, I mean really good.
How do I take my existing pictures and put them on photo stream the ones I have on my iPhone and laptop and things like that?
I bought a smart cover and that's all I'm using right now. Let's see how it works. Voice dictation is awesome by the way.

No, I use Plex too. If you want a file system view, go with Air Video. If you want an organized library with artwork and metadata, Plex is the best.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but iPhoto will allow you to share the pictures on your iDevice to your Camera Roll. This will force them to show up in your Photo Stream, if enabled.

Had light bleeding on my first unit so I got it switched out at an Apple store. New unit looks great.
I also went from the 64GB iPad 2 to the 32GB iPad 3. So glad I did. I'm surprised how much wasted space I had on the iPad 2.

It does, handles everything I throw at it.
There's a free version available for you to test specific files, only it is limited in the amount of files it displays at once.
The full version is completely worth it.

Air video uses a PC-based server application to transcode video and stream it to your ipad.. it should handle mkv files just fine.
can we talk cases? What is the best slim case that covers both front and back? What do people think of this case? or any better suggestions?

I don't I know. I haven't used my iPhone as a hotspot, but I did send photos from my iPhone to my iPad wirelessly over WiFi with iPhoto yesterday.

the local CBS caught me being walked to the Apple store yesterday to buy the new iPad, I was the only person who showed up at opening with a preorder, so I got to go in first, before Steve Wozniak who also happened to be at that Apple store to get his iPad 3, lolololol

Just noticed that the left side of my screen (held portrait, home button on the bottom) is a bit warmer/greener than the rest of it. It's most noticeable on white backgrounds - loading up nytimes.com, it's like the whole sidebar from World, US., and down is affected.
Bah, not sure if this is worth exchanging over, though it is probably going to bother me now.

1. Is there any way to get the app store to remember my password instead of me having to type it in everytime I purchase something?
2. I'm looking for a weather app. It doesn't need to be free and it doesn't need to be pretty, but I absolutely need weather predictions by the hour and a good lock at the local weather radar (preferably animated). A couple of the apps I have checked out so far tend to focus on full week predictions and pretty interface, which I don't really need.

1. You do not want that. You will spend too much and will be fucked if it is stolen, as well as some mischevious friends or children might buy lots of iap.

Btw, for transferring media & files wirelessly, use FileBrowser or FilesConnect. iTunes is really not the best way to get content onto your iPad. It's actually best avoided entirely except for occasional backups or music library stuff.
No you're not. Assuming most of your content is movie/TV then the metadata will give you a great streaming experience. I use air video for 'special' content that I don't want showing up in plex. Yes that means porn but also stuff like web videos i'v downloaded (like tested.com stuff)

1) upscaled retina iPhone games now look fantastic. I have a fair number of them like Hero Academy and ticket to ride and compared to the 2, it's night and day. It's going to make me go back into my old iPod collection and find some old games again.
2) my case fitting even though the manufacturer said it wouldn't.
3). Forget the whites. The blues on this thing really pop.
4) how it can feel the same but it just feels more perfected now with the sharper screen.

Wouldn't it periodically check? Maybe it's just synced so doesn't feel it needs to yet?
It'll also sync when not charging if you initiate from iTunes. My daughter was playing kinectimals and I added some photos in iTunes and pressed sync, and it wifi synced while she was playing. Pretty nice.
