The next Zelda - Which heroes and villains would you want?

Child link, teen link, adult link?

Ganondorf, Demise, someone new?

Do you want voice acting? For everyone, for no one, for everyone but Link, or something else?
 
For everyone to go 3rd party. /s.

Do new things with the main 3. Make it so that the triforce bearers are unexpected.
 
I'd like child Link (13-14 y/o), a new villain, and no voice-acting. I guess the game should be in 3D but I'd like an expansive and interesting overworld with lots of unusual and fun sidequests. I guess I'm realizing writing this that I'd like Majora's Mask. Maybe a bit less dark, though.

ETA: playable Zelda would be great, too. And I'd like a more inventive mechanic again like time travel or masks. It could be neat to see something like the Rod of Seasons in a 3D Zelda.
 
Playing as Zelda is high on my list. However, an Adult Link would be fine.

I want to see Vaati come back. He's my favorite villain in the entire series.
 
A more stealthier game focusing on Zelda or Sheik would definiteively be really interesting.

With villians I think it'd be nice to see Ghigharim again, but I doubt he will be back.

Some more lore about Majora and Termina would be great too.
 
I would build the normal game like ALBW, but after every other Link dungeon, have a Zelda dungeon, where you play as Zelda through a bunch of puzzles with a new set of items. Once you get past a certain amount of Zelda puzzles, you flip back to link go back to semi-open world exploration and to finding the next Link dungeon.
 
Old Link might be cool.

If the latest iteration is anything to go by for the love of Pancakes ALLOW hard/hero mode straight away. The rest? Meh only thing that can really make me drool would be to play as perhaps Zelda.
 
Twilight Princess had the right idea. Adult Link, strong, independant adult Zelda but with a Gannondorf more like Wind Waker's where he isn't like blatantly evil. Although I like the idea of playing as Link at various ages again. Young, teen, adult and old would be cool.
Voice acting for everyone but Link, and ONLY in cut scenes. Everything else you should have to read.

God, the cut scenes in Skyward Sword were bad. All that shitty dancing and singing made it just... awkward to sit through.

I don't want to play as Zelda, unless it's like in a limited capacity. Maybe where it's a rescue mission and you can take control of her to gain information or something along those lines.

I also want a temple in space. That would be tits.
 
A want a Zelda game starring Zelda. Overhaul the good ol', same ol' swordplay by giving her all of her Sheik skills. Place it in a big world, with freeform exploration ala ALBW. No dungeon order, no items in dungeons (except upgrades, again ala ALBW). Make it slightly steampunkish and no Ganon. Vaati or something.
 
An adult link more on the masculine side for once, without the female cat features and without the Japanese voice. No Ganon, Zelda or Triforce in sight. A tale that does not try to fit into the new Zelda continuity.


Edit: Swapping between two characters, old bearded Link and his daughter Zelda would be cool.
 
I wouldn't mind a new bad guy but I don't really care who it is. It's all about the puzzles/dungeons anyway. I think teen/adult link. It works better for 3d zelda in my opinion.

So like the original Paper Mario, but with Link and Zelda instead of Mario and Peach? Sounds good to me.
 
Old link, getting haunted by the Ghost of Ganondorf. Has to travel back in time and change events that caused Ganondorf to become a powerful ghost. Somwhere in there he plays Jonny Be Good on a guitar!
 
Adult Link vs Ganondorf. The characters are iconic and I really see no reason to change it at this point. All the recent new villans have been lame. Maybe throw Aghanim back in there again or something.

More importantly, I want to see an open, majestic, expanded overworld on a scale which has yet to be done in a 3d Zelda. For reference, I've always thought that a world like Shadow of the Colossus was what the 3d Zeldas should have striven to improve on, but with many more secrets, towns, and such thrown in to discover. No more of that linear crap in Skyward Sword.

Zelda should be about exploration first. Dungeons second.
 
After Twilight Princess, I want a game where Ganon(dorf) starts out as the main villain, and then gets showed up unexpectedly by someone else.

I was thinking about that this morning for some weird reason. What if the next hero was the daughter/descendant of both Zelda AND Link (one of their incarnations HAS to have done it)? Maybe they'll just let us choose a gender. It's strange to me that "Link" is supposed to be the player but if the player is a female...she's stuck playing as a boy.
 
I want female midna back.
hell even her other form was easily the best part of Twilight Princess when I watched someone play it.

Why? How would it change the game? Would making Samus into a guy do anything for Metroid? Link is male, he's been male since time immemorial. He's always reborn a male, just like Zelda is reborn a female. It's also why Ganondorf is always a male Gerudo. No gender swapping for characters that have been established for almost 25+ years please. That's just who the characters are.

I'm in favor of more woman representation in games, having more female protagonists, but I'm vehemently dead set against changing such a character.

Back on topic, I'd want the same characters, but wouldn't mind a bigger jump into 'future' sort of like spirit tracks, where more technology is introduced, just to see. Or a game that takes place in the time Link was in the temple of time and how Zelda became Sheik and fought back against Ganondorf. Maybe have it play like Assassins Creed, set in open world Hyrule. Zelda can switch from princess to Sheik and has different attributes such as speed and melee combat as Sheik and magic/arrows as Zelda.

I want another game, that also takes Link and Zelda further than just children or teens. Maybe the hero of time was delayed until he's an older man, and Ganondorf is a teen villain.
 
I would personally like to see Ganon return in all his glory. He hasn't had a real role in a Zelda title for seven years. Enough of these one-off nobodies, let's see the return of the King of Evil in HD.
