As bas as I want the Jets to win, I really don't think they've earned it. Maybe they can score their first offensive touchdown in OT.

go Pennington! way to call them tails!

on a side note, who the hell thinks that playoff overtime games should move past the russian roulette style coin flip to allowing the scored-on team a chance to tie/win/lose the game on the followup drive? i hate this coin flip, field goal TEH WIN crap.

I agree, it should be college OT rules.

However, 'We're going to recieve the ball, and we're going to score' as the beginning of an OT still makes me crack up.

Well, the ghost of Neil O'Donnell was seen on the field in Pittsburgh today with Ben's 2 INTs oddly similar to Neil's choke throws in the Super Bowl in '96...but thankfully they didn't go under. God damn, that game nearly killed me.

Ben's 2 INTs were much worse.

I agree they have a great defense, but they will have no chance in Pittsburgh unless Big Ben chokes and starts throwing INTs. Being a Messiah and the greatest QB of all time, I highly doubt that will happen. Jets can't run in Pittsburgh, Chad would have to have the greatest game of his life to win that game. I just don't see that happening against a rested Steelers defense.

:lol! Another two int performance against the Jets.

Fact of the matter is that Ben is extremely lucky to have that rushing game and that defense.

Brien has now missed three game winning FGs across three games.

Off to one great freaking game of football! Man that game ruled. I could have given a damn who one that one but people in my area are following the bush campaign and claiming:

STEELERS MANDATE

I'm not going to get too hard on Brien. Heinz Field is a stupidly hard place for kickers. If Reed's game winner was from as far back as Brien's was, it would have missed too (it just BARELY made it inside the post as is).

Still, the Jets had 2 chances to win and couldn't get it done. Why? Because Hackett is always satisfied with the bare fucking minimum and doesn't EVER try to impose his offense's will upon the opposing team. EVER.

Regardless, 3 heart attack overtime road games in a row (2 in the playoffs) is all the entertainment I could possibly ask for from this team. They pushed the number 1 seeded team in the NFL to the very verge of elimination when nobody gave them a chance in a city in which they have never ever won.

I'm proud of the Jets and the game they played. I said they would play the Steelers tough, and they did. That's all I expected from them. The fact that they nearly won a chance to play for the AFC title was just a bonus to me.
