Great, now we're to the point where "pretty good" players get their assholes licked clean by the announcers. Absolutely terrific. Brett Favre "Just going out there and having fun" throwing interceptions left and right is one thing, but when we are hearing about how great an idea it is to be a soft player and avoid contact, things have gone too far.

The Seahawks' receivers looked like the Eagles receivers from last year's NFC title game.
Archaix said:Yes...congratulations. You own the conference that likely would have been won in runaway fashion by the USC Trojans. Good for you.
soulja224466 said:the nfc west wasn't that bad, it wasn't that good either. The records were slightly lower since the AFC east owned us. Had we played the AFC north or something, seattle and the rams would have had 10 wins.
even still, we fielded 2 playoffs teams this year, so i dont want to hear it.
GashPrex said:that's just dumb, no college team could even hope to compete with the worst of NFL teams - you ever see the record for rookie qbs in the nfl. Not pretty
Desperado said:That's because they tend to, you know, get picked high in the draft. and teams with high draft picks tend to suck.
Also, rooks enter new systems and have to get accustomed to a whole new team.
USC could compete with more NFL teams than you think IMO.
bionic77 said:And the announcers said that Abraham wouldn't play for NY because the field was too muddy? This isn't ice skating you pussy, if you can help the team you play!
You know, a team like the Canes could conceivably compete with a Niners team if they were able to keep all their recruits for the full-time. But only b/c that's been the top team for talent, and even then, they can't field a starting squad that will man up with a Niners team. Even if they have a secondary that can cover average NFL wideouts, they'd get trampled by the run b/c they can't match-up in size. Even the worst NFL team is chock full of some of the best college players. So it's hard to believe a college team could win. I used to think the early 90's Canes could do it, but since getting a better understanding of the game, I can say with confidence that it would be impossible. PEACE.bionic77 said:I have to agree with Gash, you can be on a great team in college and be a great player in college and not be able to do anything in the NFL. The only team that USC would have a chance against would be the Niners IMHO. The only reason I say the Niners might lose is because they don't spend any money and really don't even field a normal NFL roster.

The Seahawks had the easiest schedule in the NFL and went 9-7.
The Rams schedule wasn't much tougher, and they went 8-8.
The Seahawks lost to the Rams twice. Which is sad.
The Seahawks lost to the Cardinals, who lost to the 49ers twice, which is damned near depressing.
The Rams got stomped by the Dolphins.
The Rams lost to the Cardinals.
The Rams. Got STOMPED. By the Dolphins.
The 49ers were winless if you take out their games against the Cardinals. The Cardinals...well, they lost to the 49ers twice.
The division was miserable. Very, very bad. It was quite possibly the worst division ever in the NFL. It produced two of the poorer playoff teams in the NFL's history. You can't try and say this division was anything but pathetic.
