Sweet catch, glad they got the replay right he had that all the way in.

Jets had a chance to steal this game when the Chargers were clearly nervous in the first quarter. If they could have scored on that first possession (even a FG), it would have put a ton of pressure on San Diego.

Hey, that was actually a great call by the refs on that punt.

Yeah--from the original view, it looked really bad. The other way, you saw the punter just fell on him.

If I hear "A shift has been made" once more, I'm going to shit on the hood of the first Nissan car I see.

To keep this more directly related to the game: Is it me, or are the Jets passing deep to spite everybody who said Pennington can't do it?

I'm just thinking about the possible matchups for next week, and if Minnesota happens to beat the Packers and Indy beats Denver as expected, along with the Jets holding on in this game, then every matchup throughout the first two weeks of the playoffs can be a rematch of a regular season game (Not entirely unreasonable, the biggest stretch is the Vikings winning). Take it one step further, and give one road team a win in week two (St Louis over Atlanta), and both championship games would be rematches. Finally, if both home teams either win or both lose, we would go an entire post season without seeing a game that hadn't been played in the regular season.

I am rather bored right now.

Wow, Doug Brien is weak sauce.

And what is up with the Jet coaches almost throwing down? What, they don't know how to function with a lead or something?

Looks like we might be playing the Jets in the divisional game. I don't think the Jets can beat us in Pittsburgh. They play a similar game to us, but they are worse at every aspect of it. Of course a miracle could happen and both San Diego and Indy could lose and then we get Denver, but I am not holding my breath on that one.

Nope, it was the right call. Blatent forearm to the head that was completely unrelated to the initial hit.

At the end of the game on a play that has no meaning you hold your fucking whistle dude!

Not when it involves the QB, not in the NFL.

At the end of the play, you keep your damned hands to yourself if you are even looking in the general direction of the quarterback.

I'm torn with that call, on one hand I do not like to see it called at the end, but on the other hand, you need consitency with the calls. It was a pretty obvious foul, so I am not too disappointed with the call.

I don't care if it's a penalty, the game was over. How can they make that call after the fact? :lol

The game wasn't over, there were still 13 seconds on the clock, and he still hit him in the fucking head. In the ol' hail mary drill, rule one is knock the ball down, rule two is don't commit a stupid penalty.

I would generally always agree with you, EXCEPT when it happens at the end of the game. My opinion of course, that is a definitely a judgment call, but I personally would have held my whistle.

They can't make tha call on 4th down after Brees throws a lame duck. They just can't :lol

I cannot fucking believe this. WE WON THE GAME. WE BEAT THE CHARGERS AGAIN! And Barton had to fuck up and punch Brees in the face! WHY WOULD YOU PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE?!

What if they don't, and the hit was more vicious, and Brees got a terrible concussion, and didn't play again? Rules like that are for a reason.

I despise the Jets, but you hold the fucking whistle. That's bullshit.

However, miss a 33 yard field goal and you deserve this shit. If the Chargers win, Barton will be the goat...but Brien lost the game. Missing a 33 yarder is disgusting.

I predict another classic moment where Marty's team somehow finds the most painful way to lose another playoff game.

I thought while Brees sprinted backwards that somehow, some way, he would complete the pass. Even while it was in the air, I thought "This is going to be a play that everybody remembers for a very long time"

As it turns out, "everyone" just means "Jets fans" unless they can pull out the OT win.
