That pearl white gamecube looks neat
Anybody need a Component cable for a lot less than they're going right now on eBay?

Home-made yes, but fully functional and works exactly like the Nintendo original.
I'd be happy to let it go to a GAF'er for a lot less than it's up on eBay for.
Is this for the HDMI solution that doesn't require maiming the GameCube, as in just a cable?

I came in here hoping for an update on this!
After my web provider pulling everyones free webspace & me losing all my collection pics online i have finally re uploaded them all to a new host so the broken image links in my previous collection post should be working again.
Found a few more to upload, my main cube i use to game on which is a FFCC competition prize gamecube one of the 150 produced for the contest in Dengeki magazine.

On my outing to Half Price Books yesterday I found that they had a compete copy of Ikaruga...for $40. Seemed a bit pricey so I walked, but I'm having second thoughts. Is this a deal or should I pass and take my chances on eBay?
It's usually useful to get other people's opinions. In this case the situation is a toss up since eBay is a contradiction of sorts. Lots of $60+ buy-it-nows, and auctions going all over the place.

Pretty sure the "forced" is associated with the "240p" bit, not the "DVD" bit.
I have no concrete answer, but if I had to hazard a guess, it's comparing the same areas in Zelda 2, using the Zelda Collector's Disc and the GBA NES Classic rerelease, with the first column being at native 480p and the second being at forced 240p (probably via Swiss or something). It's comparing image quality, most likely.
"DVD" probably just being the upscaler or capture method they used.
Ah, I think I got it. Thanks. It would have been easier for them to just say "Collector's disc 480p/240p Vs. GBP 240p" for a more complete comparison, GBP 480p should have been done. There has to be a reason the sub sampling artifacts are more pronounced from the forced disc compared to the forced GBP like Sheepy said.
GBP is shit and Force 240 is the equivalent of standard 480... Is that what I'm suppose to be taking from this?
Apparently, forcing GBP games to 240p is the best quality image output.
I tried installing the GBI yesterday, but my gamecube wouldnt recognize the sd cardUsing the SD Media Launcher software bundle sold from Datel here:http://uk.codejunkies.com/Products/SD-Media-Launcher__EF000580V.aspx
Have anybody else had any troubles using this?
You need an old non-SDHC card. Newer cards just don't work when launching apps on the media launcher.
Bear in mind also that the adapter that datel make is absolute fucking shit. Mine barely worked at all. I ordered a Wii SD key adapter from eBay and that worked flawlessly.
Threw the datel adapter into the bin.
Where are you? I have a spare. If in the UK, I'll send it for £2.
Im in Norway just on the other side of the pond and also outside Europe!
Heh well I'll see how much postage is later. If it's more than £2 it isn't worth it when they cost £4 on ebay
I think it is a non-SDHC card, but is there an easy way to check?
Ok, irritated but also glad to hear this. Would you link me to one that is good?
Is your card over 2GB?
4gb.
Yeah, you don't have the right card then. Non-SDHC =/<2GB.
Keep in mind though that new SDHC cards can be 2GB. However, I've never seen a non-SDHC be bigger than 2GB.

Awesome. I'm ready to say hello to my GameCube again (can't bear to play in 480i and can't afford the component cables).
This pic just shows how much I hate 480i!!!Badassconsoles tweeted this out the other day and I missed it.
That's not what 480i looks like on a CRT though. This pic just shows how much I hate 480i!!!

Lol... Yes, yes it is.Nope, it's missing the all-important eyeball burning sensation that 480i offers on a CRT.
