The NX Prediction / BSpeculation / Fanxiety Thread

I like the bit about a smooth transition between Wii U and NX. The last Wii U game worth anything (except Zelda which doesn't really count since it launches with NX) has now come and gone and we still have no idea what NX is. I don't call that a smooth transition.
 
What if, the interesting thing about this and next week that Emily was talking about, is that she's expecting a lot of meltdowns as nothing gets announced until the investor meeting?

These people hate and refuse to believe reporting from numerous actual news outlets, because it's all about hardware performance to them. They really, honestly believe that NX would get every third-party AAA game if it just had a 3.5TF SoC. They couldn't be more wrong.

To be fair to them, I don't think they want/assume it will have a controller with a display. They want it to be a completely standard home console with a standard controller with competitive power because they think power = third parties which, like you said, is nonsense.

Obviously it's all based on what they want, and has no grounding in reality. But I do get the parallels between the Eurogamer rumored device and the Wii U, although when Iwata says we "absorb the Wii U architecture" one might expect the NX to have some similarities.

She''s already said we're getting NX news this week and the next. She has put all her cards on the table and we're all hoping they come up aces.

Actually what SMD64 is speculating is much closer to Wii U than that. Console with a mobile component? That's your Wii U 2.

How is a full on hybrid Wii U 2? I mean, sure, it builds on the off screen play capability, but in a way that completely and utterly changes the idea. Being able to
take it anywhere and game primarily on the controller is completely different from being able to take it to the next room. I don't get why people refuse to see this.

She clarified in a tweet she sent to MuchoMalo that it was indeed about NX news coming.

That being said, calm down guys. It doesn't have to be Tuesday. Nintendo doesn't even have to make it now.
