at worst they will have to mention something, even if that the plans have changed and they will not show nx this year. They will have to confirm if we are seeing it this year or the next. The investors meeting in april focused on what they would show at E3. Of course people were expecting the NX, but they had to address it and say that they were showing breath of the wild.

I honestly can't tell what's serious and what's sarcasm at this point, but it bears repeating:
No one credible has said anything NX related is happening on Friday.
Emily has said there will be news this week. That's what we have to go on right now. This week includes Wednesday and Thursday, in case people weren't aware.

Btw, not for nothing. But if everyone wanted to force nintebdos's hand to talk about NX. The way to do it, would be stopping talking about Nintendo completely. If there were no threads or tweets about Nintendo. It would force their hand in fairly short order.

An exception to the rule means that exceptions to the rules are possible. This is a new hardware reveal, applying nintendo direct rules is silly since this is like no other 'direct.' All bets are assuredly off.
