Just food for thought, but I've noticed GamExplain hasn't touched any of the rumors that have occurred recently (Including the one that first brought up NX this week) which is weird since they usually jump on these types of things very quickly, especially the ones where Emily Rogers has commented on. It might be nothing, but I'm wondering if they might be silent because they know something and are now under NDA. Just food for thought

I knida want them to do this than be like "lol jk this is the NX reveal"
Y'all are some impatient mofos
Tbey don't if the next Rockstar game is on the NX...Jeez. Nintendo for all these years has been making big announcements at E3, days within or even on the same day as other big megaton announcements. I don't see why they need to tiptoe around everybody suddenly.
a new rockstar game is one of the handful of games that would, yes.
You know what is bad news? The hottest upcoming game gets announced around the same time as your new platform and it isn't coming to it.I just don't see it happening. It's big news, but not THAT big.

Polygon: "New red dead redemption game announced for every platform except NX. Yes even the Wii U."
The NX was first name-dropped last year by Iwata. It's been over a year since then and we are coming up on the date that NIntendo has continually stressed it would be released, so it's only natural that people are expecting a reveal soon.

All the Red Dead talk in this thread is the perfect example of certain Nintendo fans speculating about something completely unrealistic and then becoming angry when your expectations don't become reality.
Like, why are we even discussing a new RDR game as if its appearance on Nintendo's new platform is even a remote possibility.
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,

Remember when Mario Kart 8 had people feeling good about Wii U for a minute? Was nice while it lasted..
Funny that MK8, Smash and Splatoon were the only true wavemakers on that console.. And all three were multiplayer oriented.. And two out of the three were also half party-themed (Smash & Kart).
Hopefully NX brings us a lot more meaningful single player experiences.
We don't know that for certain. Even then, I don't think most people will care. The Wii missed out on a lot of games, and it still had plenty of great games and sold better than its competitors.

Not that I agree that Red Dead will take the hype away from the console reveal, but every time the possibilities of what could happen with the NX are discussed and the fluke success of the Wii is mentioned it in my opinion doesn't seem relevant. Yes, the Wii was a completely weird anomaly that was a run away hit in 2006. Keywords being anomaly and 2006. Now, 10 years later things are different. Nintendo's image is changed. The market that caused the Wii to be a success are occupied, and unless the NX is something that has some kind of weird pull that makes everyone and their mom want to try it for its sheer "coolness" factor then it will not be the kind of success Wii was. If the system's features are shifted to target the correct group of people, best case scenario we see it being a successful as either the Xbone or maybe even the PS4 were this gen.

why are you saying this while admitting the best selling games on Wii U were multiplayer.
if anything that would make them look for more multi games.
Next week!You guys lied
First you said 8 and then 9 and there is nothing!!!
which NoA though?I'll take a guess and say that NoA will be the first to announce the reveal. So sometime during the day tomorrow.

Because the single player games on Wii U were of varying amounts of good to great, but nothing too mindblowing. Those games (Splat, Smash, Kart) made good use of multiplayer, but were huge also because they were amongst the biggest and most ambitious on the console.
I feel like them lacking more wholesome 1P games that many people would be interested in was one of many reasons that the console itself was lacking. A big reason I believe this is because of how many people held out for at least BotW to come around before they picked up a Wii U, but of course that's now too little too late.
And I still like the multiplayer games a lot lmao. Of course I do! Just feel like the most we got on U from first party that fit that bill were platformers, and Star Fox Zero. Looking forward to seeing a lot more variety from them this time.. hopefully.
