Not that I agree that Red Dead will take the hype away from the console reveal, but every time the possibilities of what could happen with the NX are discussed and the fluke success of the Wii is mentioned it in my opinion doesn't seem relevant. Yes, the Wii was a completely weird anomaly that was a run away hit in 2006. Keywords being anomaly and 2006. Now, 10 years later things are different. Nintendo's image is changed. The market that caused the Wii to be a success are occupied, and unless the NX is something that has some kind of weird pull that makes everyone and their mom want to try it for its sheer "coolness" factor then it will not be the kind of success Wii was. If the system's features are shifted to target the correct group of people, best case scenario we see it being a successful as either the Xbone or maybe even the PS4 were this gen.
You know what is bad news? The hottest upcoming game gets announced around the same time as your new platform and it isn't coming to it.
Like, why are we even discussing a new RDR game as if its appearance on Nintendo's new platform is even a remote possibility.
Wait why is everyone expecting the reveal soon? I'm hoping it is soon though, but what new info have people learned????
What's going on?????
I just got here?????
Personally I think DKC Tropical Freeze is one of the best single-player experiences (well, co-op aside) out there.
Maybe Nintendo can't even announce NX today/tomorrow because the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo releases today.
/s
When was the last time your brain did anything for you, though? Aside from regulating essential body functions I mean.I think it's time I think.
Release of NX will be postponed a week for every superfluous Question mark.
a new rockstar game is one of the handful of games that would, yes.
My fear is that between the Overwatch Halloween update and a particularly cryptic tweet from the Angry Birds team that October is already #Octover for Nintendo.
Can't catch a break, man. :/

Was responding to a post ending in /s. The Angry Birds part was supposed to be so ridiculous that I didn't have to use the /s.
What? What's this about?
lol wut

Did they actually say anything about Nintendo? Just so random. That's the joke I guess?![]()
I'm fairly certain he was making fun of the increasingly bizarre justifications of why NX can't be revealed any given week.
Speaking of which, there's probably no way the NX Direct is thursday, the made-for-tv remake of Rocky Horror Picture Show premiers that night and would clearly take too much attention away from Nintendo.
Whoops, didn't mean to say tomorrow, just that NoA will probably be the first to make the announcement at their usual time.
I believe this week is an important week for NX. Next week's investors meeting will answer more questions about NX.
assuming a shared or single development platform, how many titles do you guys think we could see from Nintendo each year? 10? 15? 20?
A couple of things I've noticed...
MyNintendoNews hasn't covered any of Emily's tweets and they always do. So, that's a little weird.
Also, NoA put out a YouTube video not to long ago to announce promote the Pokémon S/M demo. This is a good sign for the NX announcement tomorrow since they promoted the demo today.
So, after nothing is revealed this week, how sad will you be?
Ok what's that supposed to mean now? It makes it sound like there won't even be a direct if we're not getting more info until the investors meeting....
This reads to me like "we'll get some kind of statement from Nintendo, reveal or not, and clarification/more info at the Investor's Meeting."
