I would say that her and Eurogamers reports about the console itself are pretty specific - as someone said above that will be the information to judge whether she is trustworthy or not.
Other people seem to have similar information to her (NateDrake) and SA as verified her sources. Information may be incorrect of course, or even flimsy, , but i do genuinely believe she has real links and sources to certain people that means she does get information, some correct, some not, whatever.

Disappointing if true. Mario Galaxy/3D Land were great, 3D World is a great game too but felt like it was lacking an identity as it tried to merge what defined 3D Land with Galaxy often.
But it's time to move on, and if this new game is indeed similar to the last decade of 3D Mario titles I find it hard to get excited about any reveal.
Didn't someone at Nintendo/on the Zelda dev team say that they planned to use the Zelda physics engine in other NX games? A 3D Mario might be a good fit -- I'd embrace a game that uses physics in an interesting way. Mario 64/Sunshine used them for traversal to the point where you couldn't just navigate environments easily without mastering the controls and grasping the physics. Galaxy simplified traversal and getting around but used physics to simulate tiny planets' gravitational pull, which was cool.
I'd like to see a return to 64/Sunshine-like traversal, which makes those games such a joy to play around in, while also giving the player enough flexibility to pull off crazy moves to bypass chunks of environment like they can in Galaxy 1/2/3D Land/3D World.

My main hope here is that the next time people rush to believe a twitter rumor (such credulity appears to be human nature) those who call for caution and skepticism are not shouted down again.

Her specifics on what the console will actually entail are pretty solid, it's mostly the reveal that always changes, as that's the only real malleable part of this whole NX circus.

There will be a briefing, the only time Nintendo release their financial results without an investor briefing is for Q1 of a Fiscal Year. Just (if the spokeperson the guy from WSJ talked with is right) not a Corporate one.
That's if it's revealed through a Direct, though. No guarantee of that.

A Corporate Management Policy Briefing usually includes updates on how the company is managed. A Financial Results Briefing is like a CMPB but lacks details about management and is instead more focused on financials, forecasts and upcoming products and services.
While it has yet to be confirmed, I do not see why a Second Quarter Financial Results Briefing on October 27 wouldn't happen. Only for Q1 they don't have briefings as far as I know.

How can Emily's tidbit that a reveal of Mario coinciding with the unveiling of the NX be true, when Miyamoto has already gone on record and said that we will NOT see a next gen Mario until E3 2017 (and then...it's still a MAYBE that the game will be ready for next year's E3)?
Miyamoto even explicitly says next gen Mario's reveal will be "in about a year or two"....and this quote was from June of this year.

Two ways. One way is that its existence will be revealed, but any gameplay will likely come at E3 2017.
And the other way would be the fact that they've said "Only Zelda will be present at E3 2016"

It'll be a long time before we get to do it again after all and we have no reason to believe that the reveal will be delayed (even though I personally think it will be

I would stage a hunger strike if I thought it might bring us the NX reveal sooner. The point I have been trying to make is that questioning a twitter source with a spotty record is not heresy but prudence, and that we should not be so quick (and so angry) in dismissing skeptics just because we want a rumor to be true. We have at least one poster in this thread who still will not give up the good fight (I have no intention of feeding such hostility) even after the truth has become obvious to all. I'd like to think that we can learn from this experience and perhaps evaluate claims more critically in the future.

Let's not forget that she said it before Eurogamer. I don't assume all of her leaks are set in stone but they certainly are grounded.
I don't get why so many people are aggressive when it comes to leaks and NX. This thread is really not going to last long.

I just want to know (In her words) if NX hardware is finalized and NX is entered a very early stage of production (September 20th) and Zero percent chance of NX being delayed from its March launch, what is Nintendo waiting for?
I'm totally calm and even more, I got some empathy. Not like most cry-babies here that post and sound like kids hitting the table. As I said, information that is certain one day can be flaky the day after, so get over it.
By the way, I mised that MCV rumour over Mario being shown. Anybody can link?
