Give me the Nintendo Famicom-X

I want to go to Atlantis and swim with Dolphins in Project Virtual Reality, and I don't want to have to pay a lot for coffee a shitty cafe!

You all realise this thread is one big animal cage for NX fanatics? As soon as this thing is revealed, we're gonna get locked down and each and every one of us banned.

It's a purge, you see.

Shhh... The cattle aren't supposed to know before the slaughter.

I d gladly get banned if I were to have some NX news right now.

This thread is a mess. I'm as much a Nintendo fan as anyone, but you all need to chill out. There really needs to be a ban on NX threads until news comes from Nintendo proper.

Most of the time these threads turn toxic. It's pretty horrible.

It'll only spread to other threads if there's a ban. This thread contains the outbreak nicely and minimises the risk of contagion. Leave while you can.

I was hoping that would be the case. Alas.

Regardless, it does feel good to be vindicated after such aggressive pushback.

Vindicated about what? You're still wrong about her corroborating the September reveal back in July. The post you've quoted earlier in the thread, from KingSnake, is indeed her corroborating just the hardware stuff of that article. It was also after she started saying how she was more convinced than ever about her earlier hardware claims. There are also tweets of hers where she confirms how she never corroborated the part about the reveal date from their article.

So the games most likely to be shown at the reveal are:

Zelda BOTW
New 3D Mario
Beyond Good and Evil 2
New crazy fun Nintendo IP.

Looks really promising!

I honestly think you can do better than that.

I thought that too. Unfortunately I can't deal that well with people who can't back their statements and then don't want to admit that. At some point it becomes a pointless discussion. I'm sorry.

So Emily isn't too sure about MX news and now says new Mario game that's not a sequel and new IP

Like what kind of shit insider info is that. What is the new IP. What is the Mario game. Her informations so non specific anyone can say that. Her also saying we will hear something soon is also anyone's guess due to the Investor meeting next Wednesday.

So can a NX reveal still happen today?

let me explain it with some icecream..

Give me the Nintendo Famicom-X
The console with neither called NX or anything else with X as an prominent letter. Maybe this surprises people, but there is already a console out there, which uses an X as a major part of its name. Look it up!

Good lol. That stuff needs to stay secret for the big reveal.

Well I guess its hard to actually get good info on first party titles when the first party involved havent shared a bit about something until now...

Third party is where she said she was talking to, yet nothing came out of that until now...

Yeah, I agree. Emily is not the only insiders on Twitter, at least we got NathanDrake and the NWR director corroborating the report. While I do agree that Emily is not careful enough on her words, I am still confident that NX reveal is going to happen before 26th, or better, within this week.

We had also some analysts group telling WSJ early October.

Another analysts group, Macquarie, saying next week. That was last week.

And we had that Le Monde dude who didn't know which week but "very soon".

On another topic, Nintendo hasn't released a new Zelda Botw video for quite a long time. This may show that they are making something new to show before uploading short clips to Twitter and Facebook.

Oh, I don't know that Le Monde guy. Thanks for the reminders.

There are also tweets of hers where she confirms how she never corroborated the part about the reveal date from their article.

You mean the tweets she posted long after she was called out for missing the September deadline? This is truly your argument? She said she was misinterpreted after the fact, so therefore she never lied? Really?

It's almost impressive the lengths to which some people will jump through mental hoops to avoid admitting what everyone can now plainly see: Emily never was a reliable source regarding the reveal date.

I pointed out that she verified the Eurogamer report with September as the date. You produced tweets that proved exactly that. Your argument is that the lack of an explicit firsthand mention of September means that she never verified that part of the report, ignoring the fact that she signed off on the whole thing.

You were being a lawyer about something that was really very straightforward and simple. I don't doubt your sincerity at the time, but now, in light of current events, I would hope that you could stop being so stubborn and see things objectively.

To be fair, she did tweet that she verified the hardware spec and not the dates. I think the time to judge is when the thing is announced. She's compiled a fairly specific list of items that conflict with the likes of Super Mental Dave , so it should be easy enough to determine her standing as a reputable source of information.

I got a question... what's your last played Wii U and 3DS game?

Xenoblade Chronicles X. This game is too massive and the exploration is fun. I am very happy about this game and I hope we can see the sequel soon.

For 3DS, I have downloaded Sun / Moon demo and will be playing it tonight.

That is a reasonable position to hold. The only thing I really took issue with was how angrily and aggressively (with such thin arguments to boot) certain posters went after anyone who questioned Emily's credibility vis a vis the reveal date.

...Why the holy hell did you ignore the rest of my post where I talked about how she corroborated the EG article yes, but only for the hardware part. Why did you just take the last part of my post to say "You see? I'm fucking right, you loser!!!11!1!1" (basically). There is an entire post to read, don't take one single part just to feel that you're right, otherwise I'd start thinking you're discussing her legitimacy with malicious intents and with no will to actually discuss, just to show at us how you're the one who was right about her all along.

This September talk is silly. Eurogamer never said more than the reveal "currently" being "slated for September" anyway. They also said it was one source who said that. They never doubled down on it or claimed to know for sure that it will be THE month.

Good lol. That stuff needs to stay secret for the big reveal.
The problem is that those tidbits are so vague that they start to seem silly.

A new 3D Mario that feels different from last generation's? That description fits every single one of them! Sunshine had a different feeling to it than 64, same is true for Galaxy and 3D Land/World. Saying this will be the case for the next game as well is just stating the obvious.

A crazy new IP? Splatoon was Nintendo's most important hit on Wii U, of course they'll further move into that direction on the NX. That's again just the obvious. There's no merit to it.

OK, after the coffee break at work, I have no expectation for the NX reveal this week.

However, I still have hopes for an official announcement, like a Nintendo Direct, or something, whatever, for next week.

Some of the best Nintendo Directs have been announced one week before in the past. The first Smash Direct for example. Even the DLC Smash Direct was announced about one month before.

We could still get some news between today and Friday.

The Eurogamer report said a bunch of things. Emily talked about it and said she heard the same.
The problem is you think her saying that the report is aligh with what she heard means she also heard all of it what the report said. But she only focused on the claims what the device actually is. She never openly talked about the reveal befor September and back then she first appeard like she had no clue until she tweeted the pumpkin thing.

Honestly I never saw Emily lying. She was wrong in the past. That's why doubting her word is rational.
