2017 would be worse, lol. At the very least, this year means 2 months. Not much when we've waited over 550 days.
Quite a few people think Sun/Moon or the special version thereof is gonna be on NX. It doesn't sound unrealistic. Would be funny seeing the difference in graphics for sure.
Would go some way to disproving these "reporters" I suppose, who were one day certain info would be coming this week, and then suddenly "not sure"

Just to get off the Emily thing real quick and over to Neal. Nate Drake never said specifically NX news was coming this week, but he did say "time for NX". Looks like Drake even quoted what Neal said.
But Neal did say he heard NX news was coming within this week. So regardless of Emily jumping back and forth there's still Neal saying this week for NX news at the minimum.

If that's the case then they might reveal the launch line up after the release of sun and moon as to not eat up the 3DS sales. So they will either:
A) reveal the system early, but no titles.
B) reveal the system along with the launch software after the release of sun and moon.
In other words, fuck Pokemon. I want the system to be revealed and I want to see the games and I want them both before November dammit!

I know it's not over for news of the reveal this week but it feels like it. I really believed Emily because she seemed so confident at first; even making her twitter public and there seemed to be so many people coming out all saying the same thing which was news this week. How could you be so confident at one point and then lose it the next? I had been out of this dumb speculation for weeks but I was pulled back in because of all this and now I know remember why I left.
We will not post much NX relative content then...
She said Mario game at the reveal, so I guess we will get a teaser but that doesn't mean it will be release in the launch window. I'll bet holidays 2017.
I don't understand why people are so upset about something that will not change because of the rumors. I mean, someday Nintendo will show the thing and will be what Nintendo wanted.They will not implement an holographic helper named Janine just because someone said it on twitter. I think that's a given, actually, but we will hear more about it after christmas not to fuck up the Sun/Moon holiday season, probably. Or maybe we got Pokemon Eclipse for NX, a third version of these two to make more sure sales. Who knows.
I also am expecting a DQ Builders port on launch. That game has the Nintendo logo and portable game all over it.

Oh well. Now all I'm hoping is we hear something around the time of the investor meeting. Whether that's a full reveal or just an update around when the reveal is or if it's delayed.

Pokémon Eclipse would be cool. But if that's the case it can't be revealed or be a launch title. Nintendo will have to release atleast s year after Sun and Moon reveal. I've always said if there was a 3rd version it would be cool if they combined it with a 3rd Kalos Pokemon. So Pokemon Z and Pokemon Eclipse as one game with both regions in the same game. Call it Pokemon EclipZe lol.

It's absolutely possible given the many derivatives of Mario games that Nintendo develops internally. Could be NSMB NX, Mario Maker NX, or even a 3D Mario NX. Besides, Mario and Zelda aren't the lone holy grail at Nintendo anymore. Mario Kart and Splatoon might be bigger catalysts.

It's interesting. I think it's stems from two issues (relating to Twitter ITKs, rather than the media as a whole).
1) People don't like it when someone knows something they don't, and feel information may be being withheld without justification. The reaction can often slide into a "Tell me now or you don't really know anything" mindset.
2) The often deliberate dressing up of how much the person with information actually knows. This seems the biggest problem with non-media ITKs, looking to build a reputation. they hide the holes in their knowledge behind cryptic wording that'll be the first line of defence if things don't pan out.
When clarification isn't full and frank, it starts people thinking that maybe there's nothing behind the curtain at all. I'm sure Emily has insider information, but I do feel that some times her delivery leaves a little to be desired.

I always feel like almost no one here knows how to treat rumors. At least Reddit is worse, but is that really a compliment?
I mean anything is possible, but BOTW looks like a mega hit, just seems overkill to not space those 2 out at least a few months. Isn't there a rumor Mario Maker is getting a port too?

At this point I don't even care when it's revealed as long as it is still coming out in March. I'm getting married in June and after that I predict gaming will drop for a while and I'd love to already have NX in my possession before that.

And on the topic of Sun/Moon on NX, after playing the demo I am convinced there will be an NX version of the game. Every asset in that game seems a little low res even compared to other 3DS games. It reminds me of Xenoblade 3D. The game looks like it's downgrading assets designed for much higher resolutions.

First 6 months seems fair.
Have Zelda dominate the launch, with some other titles next to it, June/July its Mario Time and September all about Pokemon only to got Mario Kart or something up for Nov/Dec for those holiday sales!
Bloody hell. I mean I can probably budget for six months, at least, as long as they aren't all launch day titles.

I am hoping the NX is compatible with 3DS games. Maybe it could upscale them or something. Also with regards to Pokemon, since the game save is on the cart, you wouldn't need to wait for an NX version, you could start playing it on 3DS and carry it over to NX.
You guys are on some wacky tobaccy if you think a non-spinoff Pokemon game is coming to the NX anywhere near launch. They're not going to announce Sun and Moon is coming to the NX less than a month before the game launches. Game Freak really marches at the beat of their own drum. They released BW months before the 3DS, and even BW2 was a DS game.
