Summer Games are equally as awesome, even if we're not as competitive. It just makes every medal a little more special, I suppose. Regardless, between CBC and NBC's online coverage of the 08 games, I was in sports heaven. :lol

Hope it's the same for London in 2012.

Yeah, I was admittedly skeptical at first, just because I was used to CBC's work. But between CTV/Sportsnet/TSN they've offered a great slate of coverage. Certainly beats the hell out of what NBC has done. :lol

and let us not forget their comprehensive online coverage. That is where they truly shine covering events where Canadians got no chance in winning. I remember CBC is entirely Canadian focused back in 2008, so if there's no Canadian in competition, they literally don't cover it or delay playing it online. Made me angry because I wanted to see some epic ping pong action and more.

I had to use those softwares to block my IP address to stream NBC, but that makes my connection too slow to stream anything.

Afaik there are a lot more medals given out in summer in total. Especially historically. They've added a lot of events in recent years.

Incidentally, CTV's coverage today has sucked after rocking really hard for most of the olympics. 3 events Canada was competing in at the same time and for some reason they were only airing one of them.
