Class_A_Ninja said:That doesn't do anything for people that love Fallout and hate Oblivion, but I might come out with a new love of Fallout and my continuing love of Elder Scrolls games. Its selfish, and the NMA people might end up with their beloved franchise shit on, but it's really all about me.
If they are positive i will be going and picking this up tommorow. I cannot wait to hear some impressions though.... Stop playing and give us your impressions.okrim said:So, where are the impressions? I can't wait ...
Class_A_Ninja said:I secretly hope this game is Oblivion with guns.
Domino Theory said:Can't wait. It's crazy this game is coming out only a week after Fable II, and Gears 2 a week after this. :lol Such gaming goodness.
So is this game street dated for next Tuesday?
Which means if you know what your doing you can buy it today.Jtyettis said:All I need to know.
Caspel said:Sorry for keeping it short and brief... I am playing Fable 2 co-op at this moment.

MThanded said:Noooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Wrong game.
Whats wrong with Oblivion with guns? Oblivion is pretty good and if improved upon even better. Is this supposed to be a bad thing?

If your small arms skill is decently high it's good. It was my fallback weapon for most of the game.Hootie said:To anyone who has played the game: is the bolt-action rifle any good without VATS? I'd love to play through the game with a weapon like that, but if it's nerfed...
Rapping Granny said:Ok, after watching some videos, the gunplay looks solid and satisfying which is one thing I hated about Oblivion, and since it's an RPG, I can see this being an insane value pick up since I am on a tight budget this holiday.
This and LBP are my only pickups until December.
Did you play it for review? If so when is the embargo up on the goodness?saunderez said:If your small arms skill is decently high it's good. It was my fallback weapon for most of the game.
Caspel said:after taking a break from Fallout 3, I can honestly say that I miss it. I swear, once I finish these other reviews and the g/f stops watching Grey's Anatomy on DVD, I'll be playing this until the sun comes up lol.
Edit: Embargo is October 28th at 12:01 am

well with melee weapons or explosives you simply target the whole enemy, but long-range weapons allow you to target any limb, the torso, head, and whatever weapon they're carrying. it's cool until you collect a damaged weapon that needs to be repaired, so i've found myself actually running away in order to save a good weaponGrimm Fandango said:How good is your VATS accuracy off the bat? A general idea of body parts with a specific weapon would be great.

didn't play oblivion, and haven't played any fallout eitherRapping Granny said:Is the combat and gunplay better than oblivion's hack slash gameplay?
no it doesn't bring you out of the game. in fact i'm using it more than freestyle aiming because it's more accurate to do so. the reticule is so small that if it's between me and some hulking mutant fist, i go for VATS because the 3rd person shot of you smearing someone across the wasteland never looked so goodDiseased Yak said:Do you find that VATS brings you out of the action/game too much, or is it so well integrated that its use seems natural?
Does it feel like Oblivion, really?Mr. Spinnington said:having played for about 5 hours.... i'm getting to work on some impressions.

1) can't say never played itLabombadog said:Does it feel like Oblivion, really?
Does it feel epic? As in size, and exploring wise.
Are the NPC's really that boring and not interesting?
Is it difficult, or just about right?
One of the best wrpg for a long time? (Since The Witcher of course)
i'm having ups and downs with it. it was engaging at first but then there was a lull and i took a break. coming back it was interesting again and there's plenty of combat to be haddeadbeef said:Is it fun?
you know i'm playing it on ps3, but what system are you on?Caspel said:lol, glad they got you Mr. Spinnington... so many people askings q's haha. one more episode of Greys left and then I'm re-entering Capital Wasteland.

it's all there!roMonster said:I've read quite a few reviews/impressions/preview about Fallout. But about the PS3 version specifically I need to ask:
How's the framerate?
Texture quality?
Texture pop-in?
Load times?
Jaggies?

It's better than FO1 and 2. The enemies are smart enough to run if they get a chance.Odrion said:How awful is the AI?
