might need the usual stuff to unblock youku if it does not work in your region.

But its a 30min video called Shizuoka Promodel, and gives a look at Japan's modeling biz, it covers a bunch of stuff like how they are made and a bit of history, with a highlight of course on Gundam around the 8 minute mark. Pretty interesting, no subs though.

I'll have to check that out when I get home.

Powered GM from Build Fighters Season 2 from the Build Fighters twitter.

The illustrations they have on Twitter are not indicative of what mechs will be in the actual show. They're just doing the same thing they did last year, which is to showcase the various mecha animation directors of each episode, while showing off illustrations of mechs they did for fun. Arisawa is returning as the mecha AD for the first episode, and that's what he chose to draw for the tweet. Doesn't mean it'll be in the show.

You can see the ones they did before season 1 started. Not indicative of the show's mecha line up at all:

I'm really confused what's going on, cause it sounds like both shows are starting in the Fall...

Guess we'll find out more about Reconguista on the 23rd.

Only one can go into the usual MBS slot.

The second season of Build Fighters is scheduled for the fall, that much is certain.

I guess the Gundam slot would have to go to a canon Gundam then unless Reconguista isn't starting this year. It might not have much competition in 2015 depending on what season, but Macross is coming out sometime next year.

GBF is TV Tokyo. But it would still be weird having two Gundam shows on at the same time.

Well, I guess they could do it as long as they were on different days. If it does happen, I'd expect there was some pressure from Bandai to get more Gundams out there to sell more kits. Reminds me of V Gundam.

RangerBAD, I think you're really confused. GBF is not a MBS show, and there's no telling if G-Reco will be either. For all we know, they might be switching to Tokyo MX. It doesn't matter either way, because I think honestly neither are really viewed as "real" Gundam shows no matter how people want to see it. GBF is more of a fanservice driven show for kids and old fans, something done entirely for fun and to push more model kits. G-Reco on the other hand is a Tomino weirdo passion project which isn't really a Gundam show either. It's probably closer to Overman King Gainer than even Turn-A.

Both shows will start in Fall, and both will be ~25-26 episodes long. GBF2 has been confirmed to start in Fall as a TV series, so it's official. G-Reco's details will be unveiled next Monday, but they previously confirmed that the project will be released in Fall, and Tomino further confirmed that it's a series project lasting about 25-26 episodes.

Well, I figure Tomino's Gundam will be eventually written out of canon anyhow. I always thought Gundam were in that 7 PM MBS slot since like SEED. It's not as if I didn't think it could run on another channel, but that was just the norm in my mind.

It's actually the Sunday 5pm slot, which used to be the Saturday 6pm slot. But Gundam hasn't run there for like 2 years. AGE was the last one. I think all bets are off moving forward. We'll find out on Monday. Haikyu is currently on that slot, and it'll be ending by October, so it's certainly possible, but a weekend slot on Tokyo MX is also equally likely I think, considering how aggressive they have been in acquiring anime. Keep in mind MBS is a Kansai broadcaster though, so while the norm for the Sunday 5pm slot is TBS/MBS, it's also possible that G-Reco could be a late night show which airs on Tokyo MX and MBS instead - similar to Attack on Titan and Captain Earth.

So I'm considering importing Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost (Because we're lucky to even get Gundam:Reborn) and I have a few questions.

1. Is it import friendly?
2. Where's the cheapest place to get it new and ships to Canada?
3. Does your TV Need to be in HDMI in order to play Japanese games on North American PS3?
4. By chance, is there a demo of the game to experience the gameplay firsthand?
5. Is it worth importing to begin with? ...Yeah that would be important, wouldn't it?

The official thread will answer a lot of your questions - http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=756071

But on the quick.

1. Pretty much
2. You can probably find it on ebay/amazon on the cheap now.
3. No
4. No
5. Yes, yes, yes

Some new images from the latest Build Fighters release probably hint at S2:

My guess is Sei and China went to France to promote Gunpla. I'm thinking that next season we will get some new main protagonists and Sei and gang may show up later at the tournament if the show goes that way again. This Yuuma China is writing (cousin? brother/sister?) may be part of the new crew.

New main characters are not only something of a Gundam tradition, but it's also a good way to avoid power inflation. That way everybody doesn't have to be super powerful right from the get-go. Mix in the old cast as supporting characters to varying degrees and it's all set.

Are there any gundam illustration books worth having?

I saw a bunch at the kinokuniya but no idea which were good.

Gundam Fact Files Mechanic Illustrations looked nice.

So we're getting a time skip with Sei and China married?
