Just checked marksfriggin to see what was happening then - looks like the Benji crashing the Anthony Weiner press conferences was the big story. I can't believe the whole AW thing was that long ago. Seems like it just happened.

it would be nice if he didn't look like such a fucking train wreck. while i do think he is clean and was just tired in that clip, artie being presentable and healthy would at least give us a slight glimmer of hope, maybe for at least one stern in studio visit. look, it pretty much next to impossible that he will ever get on the show again, let alone get his job back, but man if he was presentable in the slightest bit I would have held out the slightest hope that maybe he would have at least one visit someday.

Weren't the rumors earlier in the year (as a matter of fact do I remember it coming straight from the "horse's" mouth of Gary mentioning it on a wrap up show?) that he has a book or something coming out around December and he'll be in then? I wonder if that is still happening?

i think he does have a book, but i dunno if he'll be back as a guest, i would love that. all i know is that howard wants no part of "contributing" to the demise of artie, which is very hypocritical considering all the years the show did contribute to his problems. i understand his thinking, he was absolutely shellshocked when artie tried to kill himself, but it is very hypocritical though. but no doubt the show has suffered greatly. some of my favorite times of listening to the show were when they made the jump to satellite and having artie uncensored, the show was infinitely better with him. the show has really felt empty since. especially the interviews. howard has had some good interviews post artie (chris martin, david choe, tiger woods mistresses), of course, he's the best interviewer but he always follows the same format and many of the interviews with guests im not interested in are boring. i can't help but imagine how awesome some of the interviews the past few years would have been with artie interjecting.

I saw this picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger on the set of his new movie, and realized that he has almost the same panther/salamander tattoo on his arm as Ronnie.

i e-mailed him stuff that they used on air before, most recently the bit about train foamers and the guy going nuts in the yt videos, they ended up talking about it for 10 mins and sal and richard even did a tradeo call parodying it selling a sewing machine.

I can't believe Stern and all the side shows are still going strong. But then again, I found out the other day that not only is The Jerry Springer Show still on, Jerry hosts another late night game show as well.

yea any media related stuff send to JD, any real life stuff show related you witness send to H100 news tips, like when Tony Hawk saw Tim Sabean pigging out at an oyster bar. or witnessing drunk will or ronnie depace fight at block party.

Sweet - apparently Evil Dave is on air. I always love appearances from him. I think at this point I actually enjoy hearing from the real him as opposed to his impression. "I'mmmm sorry Howard!" "This is for people with low self astydal"

Heard Evil Dave on my commute this morning. He's a train wreck as always. Didn't know what the word "gnaw" was.

Anyone else curious to see the Lisa G photos? I've seen pics of her before and she really didn't do much for me, but it sounds like Howard's photo shoot went over really well.

As long as Howard makes excessive use of the blur filter like he did on his neck she should look ok.

I really want to see them. Howard made it out like her tits are amazing. Wouldn't be the first time he talked up a womans appearance tho so I'm sure they'll be dissapointing.

My subscription ends this month and I'd like to get a good deal on my renewal. What's the best route about doing that? Trying to get the Sirius Select package + online listening. When I signed up last year I paid $150, but standard rates is going to make me pay $216. Do I call and try and quit and hope for something better or what should I do? Definitely can't lose XM at this point, it would be impossible to go back to FM.

I'm in the same boat, they just emailed me saying it'll be another dollar a month. Which isn't unaffordable I'm just not seeing the value over the last few months. They'll usually offer a cheaper rate if you call up, otherwise just cancel and then they will reach out to you with a "retention rate" that's very affordable. That'll be what I do come December when I'm up for renewal.
