The classic Golvellius from Sega Master System is free today on Iphone.

Originally developed by Compile in 1987, Golvellius on the Master System was a true challenger to Legend of Zelda. The new iPhone version and its highly improved user interface will delight the fans and seduce the new players.

Doom II RPG is superior to Wolfenstein RPG in every way besides writing. I'm really digging it and have waited on it ever since I finished Wolfenstein RPG.

One of the first things I bought when I got my touch was Myst, because it seems to be unavailable elsewhere. I'm fairly happy with it, but I wish I had a mouse for more precise clicking. I never got a chance to play Riven, but I've always wanted to. For $5 or whatever, I'm totally there.
Myst, Riven, RealMyst, and Uru are all on GOG for cheap. I agree about the precision on Myst and kinda wish I hadn't bought it on iPhone (along with Beneath A Steel Sky and Simon the Sorcerer).

For me it's superior because it actually showed up ont he German store. To this day I don't know why Wolfenstein did not. :lol

League of Legends is very addictive, but easy once you set out of a good path for them to travel and vary the weapons you use, with the big 100 coin weapon (I forgot the name) every 3 spaces or so.

Well, take a wild guess :lol

Wolfenstein RPG has no NS symbols in it so....

Anyway Doom RPG 2 is cool. They do some nice stuff to give it some cinematic flair. I went into this space toilet and looked in the mirror. Then I saw a reflection of a zombie getting up behind me. :lol

Also, Bird Strike update with Endless Mode with new props/powerups submitted a couple of days ago. Improves frame rate and has some extra puzzle levels as well. Should be approved any day now.

This update just went live (version 1.2).

I can never imagne CoD zombies dropping in price, in the UK charts it's still selling really well and the CoD name helps it a ton, probably one of the most profitable games on the app store outside of non-game apps like tomtom satnav.

*edit* a lot if not all the Namco games are down to 59p or 75% off for valentines, no idea how long for but you can grab ridge racer, pac-man champ etc for cheap. Remember these games usually have more content to buy as dlc ingame.

That's never NES-like. Waaaay too colourful. There's an RPG called Minimae that could be right up his street, though.
Yeah pretty much I'm looking for stuff that has a limited color pallette. If nothing has been made like that so far I'll say here first there's an unnamed title in development right now ;)

I just downloaded Riddim Ribbon since I love music games...this is one of the most un-music music games I've played in a while. The gameplay is basically tilt the phone to stay on a path and while items you hit time with the music you never really feel like you're connected with the music or playing a music game. It's just tilt to keep the ball on the path.

If you're curious, check out Rhythm Racer. It's free and extremely similar, except it does feel connected to the music and is more enjoyable.

Sounds like Audiosurf, with a tilt-to-stay-in-the-path gimmick. Undecided as Audiosurf is awesome.

So far I've played Space Miner for about two and a half hours and I love it. This is my kind of iPhone game. Totally worth the 5 bucks.

Not as taken with space miner as everyone else. Production values are nice and the basic controls are ok, but i don't find the base gameplay entertaining enough to clear sector after sector. I'll give it another hour or two to get my moneys worth and see if I warm up to it. Either way Im not too upset as I do want to support more full fledged games as all but the cream of the crop $0.99 flash style games are wearing thin.

:O

how long have you played? It's honestly hard to think anyone can not find something in this to enjoy, but I guess not every game can please. I certainly don't enjoy many games others do.

Be sure to let us know your later impressions.

Sale on quite a few games now:
Star Wars unleashed at $0.99

Mezopuzzle is free
Ridge Racer Accelerated $0.99
Ace Combat XI Skies of something $2.99

Deathtrap Dungeon is released at $2.99. A Fighting Fantasy Book.

megaman II at $0.99

EDIT
removed links to appshopper.
Somehow at least one of the links lead me to a site called d u p e db.
Have no idea why. It's a place I've never been to or heard of.

Why did that happen?

EDIT 2: Did a quick search on google. Has Neogaf been hacked, or appshopper?

I've pimped this a little bit, but judging by the lack of enthusiasm, I'm going to post a bit more about it, in case people are just brushing this off.

I know for me, that I hate on-screen joysticks. I do not see that changing.

I was too late to get it for free, but it was only 99 cents and the "More by DotEmu" alerted me that Nicky Boom 2 was ported to the iPhone and I apparently never noticed it. Picked up both :D

Namco games are all on offer as I said 3rd post on this page :P ace combat still isn't worth it though as they released it so dry that I don't think anyone should buy it and support that kind of shit, they did better with ridge racer but it still lacks even local time trial leaderboards.

if Namco ever dare complain about their games not selling I will slap them with a steel pole.

I NEED YOUR HELP

I NEED YOUR HELP

My girlfriend just bought her iPhone 3GS about 1-2 weeks ago. It is still easily under the AppleCare warranty. She dropped it from a very small height (In the bathroom lol) and the screen cracked.

There is NO evidence of a drop. What are the magic words I should use when talking to Apple to convince them to cover it under warranty? I was going to stress how new it was and that I had no idea what caused the break.

Any idea of what I can say to guarantee that they cover it?

It is so dumb to buy insurance on a product, have it break 2 weeks later and not be covered, then have to pay $199 to fix it and therefore doubling the initial purchase price!!!

I think the best you can do is trying it over and over again until you've got some idiot on the other side who considers this a case for warranty.

You could cheat them in some ways, but I won't tell you how.

LOL please send me a PM. This is utter bs considering paying for insurance and this is about the only thing that goes wrong with them.

PS: I also had and OtterBox on the way for valentines day. She could not wait 3 more days before screwing it up!

Contact this guy Joe, he's in West Los Angeles (you can mail it to him if you are not living local, but people drive hundreds of miles to see him...!). He does repairs like that fur super-cheap and super-fast out of his little office behind his garage, indie-style. He did extensive repair work to my iPhone for barely a song. A valuable resource - call and get an estimate if you are interested.

I would if it was not under warranty. That will void it. The iPhone is less than 2 weeks old

You've got the thing for about 2 weeks, at least try to get it replaced. Tell them it was an accident.

I won't give you any hints on how to straight-out cheat Apple. I'm in business relations with them after all.

I get that you're frustrated though.

What are my odds of not having to pay the $199 fee considering it has no marks at all?

It literally still looks like it came right out of the box with the exception of the screen.

What if I continue to stress how new it is, and then start going off on a tangent about how I am going to stop buying apple products.

If I get really angry over the phone and rant and rave about Apple's service and products and threaten to take my business elsewhere do I stand a better chance?

haha

Yelling to get stuff done rarely works over the phone, but in a shop, you'd stand a chance; only if you're hardcore enough though.

That's the white-trash-way of making things happen. Could lead to ending up on a customer blacklist :S

While not exactly a game app, has anyone tried the PokeDex app(s)? It's 99 cents. Would be nice to have the information right by me without the need for a computer. The one I was looking at just came out yesterday, but I have no idea if the developer, ZenseiApps, will release timely updates. Anyone ever heard of them?

The iPhone seems like such a great device for a pokedex.

Don't get angry. It'll ruin your chances. Stay calm, clearly explain your situation and what you're looking for. If the first person you speak with isn't receptive, ask for a supervisor and try again. Persistance is the best method, but what happened is explicitly not covered by Apple, so don't expect anything.

Nooo, Life Well Wasted delay imminent. But new levels for free is fantastic for my 99 cents.

Angry Birds updated, and when I launched it it unlocked a ton of achievements based on my previous play...

...but the game crashed mid-way through and it says I've got none. :( Any way to get my achievements back?

Hello epilepsy avatar.

Anyway, I've been fiddling with this Transylvania graphic adventure, there needs to be more of these on the marketplace. I love the old cheesy graphic text games.
