I was impulsive and bought Need for Speed and Tiger Woods tonight, even though I was trying to hold out for lite versions of both (or a lower price).
I'm actually enjoying Need for Speed a lot, although I'm only a few races in. Graphics are nice, gameplay was fun and arcade-y. Customization options are in there too. It feels like a console/PSP game to me, not a mobile game. The acting--oh God the acting--let's just say the cutscenes are definitely the worst part of the game, probably next to the crappy music.
Tiger Woods also feels like a home/portable console game, not some stripped mobile game. I've played the Wii and 360 versions of Tiger Woods and it does feel exactly like those games. The graphics won't win any awards but presentation-wise, it's still pretty good. Too bad there's no online play but there are still a lot of options available to keep me entertained.
Ummm, way to go, EA! Never thought I'd publicly champion a huge corporation but, uhh, great job.
