The thing is I kinda like the style he was going for, I just wish it was done better. I know why he decided to use the robotic tone, but it just isnt working for me.

But of the rest of the songs that leaked, Welcome To Heartbreak is really good. Everything else, isn't much to talk about, but the Lil Wayne song is terrible. Please, good artists, stop working with this guy.

song overall is great. wayne isnt anything special imo. but i like the passion in their voices.

I expecte dto hate this album, but in a wierd sort of way I'm really, really liking it. Maybe its just because of the fact that its so different. Its a nice chill-out album.

is he releasing a lyrical cd in june?... i just heard some guy on the radio say that he's gonna be releasing a new cd after this one in june...

if this is true i'm pumped for that one in addition to this one... yaaaaaaay

and i'm fucking excited for any tours he's doing in the future...

the glow in the dark tour was amaaazing

only if this one is a total failure i'd bet. he told def jam to put this out now and he'd drop 'good ass job' early summer. but if this is a success, there would be no reason to rush the release.

nice was it still his glow in the dark tour? some of my friends that saw it hated it because he didnt hype up the crowd like a normal performer. i tried to explain that it was a work of art rather than a lame performance, but they couldnt see it.

where did you hear this? in the conference call posted a couple pages back, he said the label decided to bring up the release date for thxgiving sales. also he said the june thing is a rumor and that he wont be doing that. he doesnt want to have that kind of pressure, and instead will be doing another tour. this is straight from his mouth. of course he could be lying, but hes usually pretty blunt and truthful.

i am amazed at how kanye can make the simplest things sound so awesome. the strings at the end of robocop gave me goosebumps with how awesome it sounded. i wish it led into the next single.

but the rest of this album is just so...."Fresh"

ESPECIALLY the song with wayne, and the song with jeezy

Following the end of the album, Kanye West came out with Vanessa Beecroft to address the crowd. He spoke about why he decided on such an early release date for 808s & Heartbreak. “I told L.A. [Reid], [Jay-Z], Gee Roberson and everyone at my label that I needed to put this out right now. I'll have another album coming in June.”

I'm genuinely excited for this album, but not because it is Kanye. Its so different from his other stuff it might not as well be him. However, I still really like what I've heard so far. Some of it almost has a HelloGoodbye vibe to it (which I'm sure is just the autotune).

Edit: Actually, now that I did a quick Google. There's a few albums I'm definitely listening to from a few genres. I mean, they could suck, but worth a listen.

11/18 - Dido
11/25 - The Killers, Ludacris, Kanye
12/9 - Common, Busta
12/16 - All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy

Oh, and 50 Cent and Soulja Boy. But I only listed albums I'm going to bother listening to.

Yeah, still Glow in the Dark. He wasn't the talkative type but Im not one to care about that stuff. I came to see a show and thats exactly what I got and more!

There must be something wrong with your friends =P

Dedication 3 might be shitty but I'm still going to listen to it.

Can't hate on this CD, I was coming into it looking for shitty beats + Autotune, I got amazing beats plus some great songs. This is awesome. Paranoid, That You Know... too many hot ass songs.

i'm loving almost every song that has leaked thus far

i guess i'm on the reverse trajectory of most kanye fans. i thought college dropout interesting and risky but not really actually good, late registration was just bloated, graduation i really dug, this new stuff i am really really into

maybe it's because i've never really liked kanye as a rapper, now that he's turning into more of a art-pop-hip-hop musician, he's a lot more palatable

Do not like this T-Pain voice modulator bullshit, it's fucking TERRIBLE, Kanye is one of my favorite rappers, I have seen the dude live, but everything I have heard of this album is garbage.

I guess since I don't listen to much regular Rap radio I haven't been over exposed to this auto-tune stuff, I just don't get what the big deal is. It's fair enough, adds a bit of an electro tone to it. Works for me.



Streetlights is fucking powerful.

Unfortunately it seems like this album is going to be a success. Honestly I'm not particularly hyped over Good Ass Job anymore after the Graduation fiasco

a. he probably doesnt like the music and thinks that kanye will pursue this style if its a success. i hope he mixes and matches as i personally like his rapping as well.
