Graduation = absolutely my favorite Kanye album. Nothing tops the beats on that album.

Lyrically, he's weaker, but he has a good flow despite that. But the beats are so fucking awesome.

I doubt 808 will top it for me, but I love every song he's released so far. The new mixes of "Heartless" and "Love Lockdown" make them even better with the small changes. "Anyway" is one of my favorite Kanye songs hands down. That beat is so good.

But yeah, as I've said a few times in this thread, I understand and expect some people not to like what he's doing on 808s, but I appreciate it. It's not what his fans are used to and that's what I like about it. All I care about are good sounding songs. And how can you not blast "Heartless" or "Love Lockdown" and sing along to those choruses?

And obviously, you might just hate autotune. Which is also understandable. I think it's gotten overused, but I love how Kanye's used it and I have a feeling playing around with it on a whole album was probably really fun.

My favorite Kanye album is still College Dropout, but I agree with everything else in this post.

The Guardian in the UK has posted the first official review. It's pretty positive. Choice line:

It might seem harsh but let's hope he doesn't find too much happiness in the meantime. Loneliness is proving quite the muse.

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
Heartless still sounds pedestrain but the constant re-working of Love Lockdown only improves it more. Haven't heard anything else, hopefully he pulls this one through.

nope. i like when t-pain uses it for the most part. lil wayne and kanye are just embarrassing themselves.

From everything I've heard of the album so far, autotune Kanye pretty much shits all over T-Pain (T-Pain is awful)

I do hope he doesn't make another album like this but a one time thing is pretty cool.

The entire album will most likely be leaked by the end of the night. See You In My Nightmares, Street Lights, and Welcome To Heartbreak (this one has DJ Drops tho) have all just leaked.

Last night a friend of mine remade the whole "keep your love lock down" beat and melody on his keyboard. That shit was hot and I told his dumb ass to youtube it, but his cheap ass won't buy a webcam.
+1 for Kanye's new album.

The OP should put up the new tracklist:

1. Say You Will
2. Welcome To Heartbreak (feat. KiD CuDi)
3. Heartless
4. Amazing (feat. Young Jeezy)
5. Love Lockdown
6. Paranoid (feat. KiD CuDi)
7. RoboCop
8. Street Lights
9. Bad News
10. See You In My Nightmares (feat. Lil' Wayne)
11. Coldest Winter

Only need Say You Will, Bad News and the final versions of Paranoid and RoboCop for the full album to be leaked. Kanye said he totally reworked RoboCop on his conference call today, can't wait to hear what it sounds like now.

Paranoid / Anyway, even though it's tagged, is Kanye's best beat ever.

I absolutely love it.

Faith restored.

It's been added. Thanks! And a 12th track has been revelaed, called Pinocchio Story. It's more of a poem than a song. Here's a blurb about it from a review:

Track 12 - Pinocchio Story

The final track on the album was a live freestyle Kanye performed at a concert. It insipred Beyonce so much that she told Kanye to put it on his album. ‘Its so crazy, I got something figured out’. For the most part, this track is acapella. Essentially Kanye is talking about his fame and venting that with all the vacations, all the money and clothes still wont make him be happy. This track is certainly introspective. ‘Do you think I will sacrifice real life for fame?’ He asks during the song.

As the song progress we get to what he wants. ‘I just wanna be a real boy’. A guitar softly fades in. ‘Just want to be an American dream … [people say] Kanye you keep it real boy, perspective’. What I soon realise is that this final track is like a poem. Just like Ted Hughes or Slyia Plath would vent their emotions through poetry, Kanye is doing the same through his music.

The final words of the album - ‘a wise man once said, you’ll find you’re way’

When he’s upset or angry, the vocoder is used = Heartbreak. However, when he is happy during this album, he uses his own voice.

That's a fucking fantastic observation.

The album is interesting. Looking at it as a piece of music, its not bad. Its actually pretty dope. Some of the production had me stumped. I’m like ‘how did he do that?’ He’s got animal sounds and incorporated it into his music. Its not a Hip Hop album in the sense of Rakim, Guru, MOP etc, its Hip Hop because its musically expression.

Awesome.

I love everything I've heard from the album, I love where it seems to be coming from in Kanye's heart, and I love the visual aspects of it (the videos, the artwork).

Screw the haters.

I think you need to put someone else in that heart in your avatar.
