a) Why unfortunately? We've heard most of it so far and it's damn good.

b) What Graduation "fiasco"?

a) everything I've heard so far has been bad. Weak production, laughable lyrics, weak melodies, etc. To each his own

b) Graduation is a joke. While the production is good despite some particularly lazy work on a few tracks, lyrically it's horrendous. Sounds like the type of album that a record exec should have rejected, and told Kanye to put more work into it. But of course you can't do that because he's such a diva.

Sorry dude, but if a record exec rejects the 12th highest selling record of the year, they ain't no real record exec.

Almost every single beat on that album is amazing. I agree it's his weakest lyrically, but it's no where near as bad as you're making it out to be.

A record exec could only wish any of their rappers could release something akin to Graduation.

BTW Kanye reworked Graduation a lot of times before release.

Hey WTF is with this "I am the Michael Jordan of music" and "I am the voice of my generation" shit?

Shut the fuck up. Your ego is gonna kill you.

Joke post?

"I'm a monster I'm a maven"

Also people complaining about his ego. Did you expect it to go away? If he did not have the ego he has he probably would not put as much effort into his work. His ego has hurt him many times but sometimes that ego pushes him to do some amazing stuff. If any of you were at the glow in the dark tour you know exactly what I am talking about.

His ego is pretty much what drives this music. 9/10 who say they're the best jsut sit on their ass and let the title rust. Kanye is that 1/10 dude who will say something like that, and then use that as motivation to push things further. It goes overboard sometimes, but I think if he wasn't an egomaniac, the dude would not be where he is now. Necessary evil.

Shame, I liked the old tracklist better. Now the record is too frontloaded.

wait, that looks like the original list. wheres pinnochio story? he said that hes reworked it many times, maybe thats old? but it makes sense that he has welcome to heartbreak first

and when did he explain his ego at GITD? i love his ego btw lol

Forgotten in his cell
Does anyone else thing in Streetlights, when he says "I'm just not there, Life's just not fair" that Life's just not fair is kind of off?

I think that is an old tracklist. Kanye himself called "Anyways" "Paranoid" in the conference call and a couple online stores have backed up the new tracklisting.

And I cannot stop listening to "Welcome to Heartbreak." It's absolutely incredible.

streetlight's lyrics are so good, even if it is only a couple lines repeated

seems like, streetlights glowing, happen to be just like moments, passing in front of me

so true

how are you, B!TCH? How is your day going, B!ITCH?
I don't really want to listen to the leaks anymore but when is this album supposed to be out?

I'm starting to like this album, the singing works in some songs, but love lockdown should have not happen.

I believe its the 24th.

and love lockdown is awesome, if not just for that tribal beat he has.

:)

It's getting better.
I think it's less accentuated on the later versions of the tracks or maybe it's just me.
Anyway, I'm more optimistic for 808s and Heartbreak than I was before.

Btw, wtf does this mean? lol

I created a thing I call Heartbreak. It’s like a mixed drink of auto tune, distortion with a little bit of delay on it, and a whole bunch of life that I put onto records. That’s what I call my heartbreak, and that’s what every record basically has. I’m delivering what I feel is art and that’s what I want to deliver at this point from now on. With records like “Love Lockdown”, it might not have high hats and shit like everything else has, but when I go out and be listening to Jimi Hendrix and the Stones and Lenny Kravitz, and they won’t play no Hip Hop records in that. I feel like n***as be giving up on trying to make records on a Quincy Jones level.

Im really feeling this CD Robocop and Heartless are really good. And the Hype Williams directed video for heartless is great. I dont normally says this but.... Day 1 Kanye has won me over with this.

Jesus Christ, "Welcome to Heartbreak" has a hold on me haha. Is there a version out without the lakers shit? I know we only have like a week and a half to go but damn I want this album.

I'm not that versed with gifs but can anyone make me a gif of the heart inflating and deflating from the tv ad for an avatar?

oh is that your blog?

i think that kanye is trying to explain the style of his album. "Heartbreak" is what he is labeling the use of autotuning and the sad lyrics as. he wants his music to be able to transcend typical hiphop, and for people to consider it a classic and be accessible to everyone, like those people he mentioned.

Thanks. This reminds me, did kanye ever release the video version of Drive Slow as an mp3. I remember the video having strings and a more cinematic feeling to the song than the album version. T.I. was also in the song.

It was released on the bonus disc of T.I.'s album King.

iTunes has the album up for preorder with the tracklist that's in the OP. But it lists Pinocchio Story as a video. And an exclusive one at that.

Also says Paranoid "featuring Mr. Hudson" :/ Pretty sure it's still Kid Cudi.

Okay after listening to all the released tracks so far, here's my thoughts on em:

Robocop: dont like
Amazing: its amazing (haha)
Streetlights: Awesome
Tell Everybody That You Know: Dont like
Welcome to Heartbreak: No opinion. I wish the leaked ones didn't have that stupid LA Leakers bullshit. Sounds like it might be awesome.
Love Lockdown: Awesome
Coldest Winter: Awesome
Heartless: It's alright.

Are "Paranoid" and "Anyway" the same songs? Regardless, that one kinda sucks too.

Four tracks out of nine so far. Not bad. Def better than 'Graduation' already.
