Deciding to sing more than rap on a specific album, as an experiment, does not make you any less of a "rapper".

Okay, the album isn't going to be for everyone. Obviously. Be happy he'll have a new album in June and pretend this one doesn't exist. Many others will enjoy it for what it is.

Well, I don't listen to Radiohead so I can't really talk about em, but if Radiohead's new album was all rap, well, I wouldn't necessarily say they were a rock band. Also if Led Zeppelin's first two albums were gangsta rap, I'm pretty sure I'd still consider them a rock band.

I guess my mentality is whatever theyre currently doing defines them. By no way is that a bad thing. If Kanye suddenly wants to start a metal band and scream in it, I don't think I'd still call him a rapper. But I can understand where someone might find flaw in my logic.

However, just cause he's experimenting doesn't mean his songs can't be shit. Robocop is garbage. Heartless is alright. Buuuuuut, Love Lockdown and Coldest winter are fucking great.

The reactions to this album remind me a lot of how everyone was when Outkast came out with speakerboxx/lovebelow. Im digging 3/4 of the tracks pretty big right now. Robocop just isnt clicking with me, really like heartless alot.

No, he didn't. T.I. did a good job (note good). All of the MCs came weak on it. Jay is supposed to have a remix with Andre 3000, him and a few other heads. I think the synthy sound to the beat needs to be altered. The sample and drums are tight.

I did like the Puff and Fab/Jones/Pusha T freestyle.

5 songs leaked, and this "Kanye fake sings" gimmick is already old. It holds together for a song or two, but song after song you can tell he can't hold it together for a whole album of this.

He really should have just slapped Heartless and Coldest Winter on his next album and skipped this one all together.

"Anyway" sounds fucking great. Love the beat. Sounds like a song in Mega Man: Network Transmission for the Cube. Best song leaked yet.

But like I've said, if you don't like auto-tuning, the album simply isn't for you.

I agree. His first two albums were great.
College Dropout is awesome and the cinematic sound of Late Registration is pretty cool and produced very well. Graduation was a step down and a different sound/direction but still pretty solid.

808s and Heartbreak is meh.
