So far it's only confirmed to be the iTunes cover...Hopefully it won't be the retail cover though.

Those mickey mouse hands on the cover totally distract me, it would've otherwise been an amazing cover. Really elegant.

There was a rumor that it was going up on the Japanese iTunes Store today because several other big releases from next week did (The Killers and Coldplay). But it didn't and most stores list the Japanese date as December 3rd.

What the fuck is with Kanye?? Hes a great rapper, but a bad singer, and that stupid auto tune robot shit just tries to hide it.

Can somebody explain to me why he thought this was a good move as a rapper? I mean he's doing songs with Jeezy & lil Wayne now, some of the worst MC's in the game.

I just checked the album out, but jesus this is fucking terrible. And that auto tune robot voice shit is the fucking worst invention ever. If you can't sing then don't. FUCK

Retail has leaked. And it appears that new cover is iTunes and special edition only. A pic with the leak shows the original cover.

shit now i dont know what cd to get. this is gonna be my first CD purchase in a while and now im torn. id rather have the original cover...but id rather have a special edition. i think im going to buy the original, keep it in its wrapping, and then see what the deluxe comes with. lame

Listen, I'm not hating on Kanye for trying something different in regards to himself. It's just that imo this does not fit him at all.

I checked out the songs, it just sounds terrible imo. What makes it so much worse is that T-Pain effect, if he would have made the songs without that, it wouldn't even have been so bad.

good lord PLEASE stop calling it the "t-pain" effect. such an insult to kanye. what t-pain does on his songs with auto-tune is nowhere near what kanye does. its not even in the same league

I'm sorry but no one in this thread really cares what you think :(.

THe point is that Kanye is trying something fresh, bold, and new. It's hard for an artist to try and do something a bit new without alienating their old audience. However, as it seems with this thread a lot of his old listeners are liking the vibe of this album.

Personally I like very few of the songs on the new album, but at least he's trying something new, and a lot of listeners who didn't like Kanye before might like this new style that he's trying.

It keeps getting better IMO.

I only removed pinocchio story, it sounded like it was recorded by a fan with their cel, rather than a HQ live edit. A studio edit wouldve been nice.

Now okay the autotune shit is pretty wack in general but Jeezy & Wayne are both way better emcees than Kanye. Kanye feeds off all the overhype he gets, it's gotten to his head, and now he's pretty convinced that every piece of shit he puts out is gold. Hence, releasing an autotune album right before the holidays. I'll listen at least once because he's an excellent producer, but I'm expecting massive fail.

The best thing to come from Graduation was the Jeezy verse on the "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" remix...which wasn't even on the album.

Kanye actually uses both on 808's. I think an example would be "Paranoid" which he uses autotune on it, and on "Love Lockdown" when he says "system overload" its on vocoder. Someone correct me if Im wrong though.

Autotune is used to fix pitch on vocals for the most part. Vocoder takes your voice as a signal which goes through filters and oscillators, which then creates the synthetized sounds (now mixed with vocals). After that its up to you how much you can alter it.

Holy shit. You're right. I'm on Street Lights right now, and it's GREAT. I'm really, really glad he put this out. Makes me eat my very, very harsh words about his first single, and the possible direction of the album. Hell, even that song really grew on me.

so many incorrect statements. the thing is kanyes style, on this album or his older ones, is completely different. you obviously have a preference to what i call "gangster rap". kanye is not, "gangster rap" so i wouldnt expect you to like his music much.

and i like the new robocop actually. its a lot more energetic. a lot more fun of a song. endings a bit weird though.

Mr. Hudson is a new artist signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label. It's actually Mr. Hudson and The Library, a UK band fronted by Ben Hudson.

If you replace Welcome to Heartbreak and Robocop with their last leaks, then this album is perfect. The new WTHB saddens me. The epic is gone.

you also would need to replace the streetlights. even though the new one isnt bad at all, the original is without a doubt the better of the two.
