You sound like a spoilt little LA girl. The new ending is incredible!! Definitely my fave part of the album so far!

Ugh, that's one part of the album I hate. Someone should've taken the mic from Kanye at that point.

:lol touche

the outro to robocop...if u think about it it fits in nicely with the overall message of robocop. that this girl cant have everything she wants, cant be controlling him, etc. hence spoiled girl! kanye wins. also after listening to the new robocop alot, i cant go back to the old one. it sounds boring in comparison, especially in the verses without the strings. new ones awesome

oh and his new tour is supposed to be called "Ye vs the Volcano". forgot where i read that

If he only had the strings and no LA girl crap at the end it would have been a decent song...

ehhh like i said earlier, if u give it a little more time it definitely grows on you. i now prefer it over Robocop v2. the strings start to grow on you, and the LA girl i usually just skip, but dont mind listening to.

Yea I do prefer v2 but the end is like him doodling.... anyone could have just taken the mic and sang something like that.....

Yeezy can doodle me any day.

Maybe it's only girly men who don't like the "spoilt little LA girl" part.

Does anyone else think that the new version of Robocop sounds like a christmas song?

Why cant we just accept him for trying something different this time around....

Because it's bad. It isn't that he's doing something new or expanding his art. It's that the music is quite bad. On the plus side, he'll always be a great producer.

It absolutely isn't. The music is fantastic.

I think this album is genius, probably his best work yet. It's definitely his most cohesive album, and it's waaaay better than Graduation at least, which I thought sucked for the most part. Yeah I know that's not a popular opinion, but 808s has really resonated with me... though I must say I'm disappointed that "Coldest Winter" is a Tears for Fears cover since that's my fave song on the record.

Is downloading the songs from Kanye's blog legal? I'm going to buy the CD day one anyway, but it seems weird that he's giving his new songs away for free...

The album is now available for purchase from both iTunes and the Amazon MP3 store. It should be on shelves at most major retailers today as well.

Which is the track that he changed completely? Also where would I find it?

He changed "Welcome to Heartbreak" and "RoboCop" significantly from their leaked versions.

its amazing how kanyes live performances have better mixes of his songs than the studio. first love lockdown, now today his heartless song sounded amazing.

picking up my copy later today, cant wait. first cd purchase since blink 182's self titled.

That new arrangement of Heartless was incredible. I want a studio version so bad.

Inexplicably, my dad wanted to watch the American Music Awards tonight... I'm home for my bro's wedding (Saturday) and Thanksgiving but I said sorry dad, 24 wins out. Once it was over, I put it on though and was happy to get to see Kanye kill it.

yea it's weird how (spoilt la girl aside) he's finally learned how to edit himself. a lot of this album sounds like a natural flow from the graduation intro track. it's concise, his junk lines are gone and knows when to keep the music going, and when to move on (again, outside of robocop). it's a mature sounding album, and if he keep this ability to edit himself - his next album should be even better.

solid album. The auto tune stuff can't get a little annoying, but after listening to the whole thing a few times now, it's pretty solid all the way through. Paranoid is my favorite track right now, has a great 80s vibe to it.

Why do you think it's better than his last album?

HOLD ON MAN! Swoon you saying most of the album sounds like the song "Good Morning"?

Just copped my copy of 808s & Heartbreak...apparently there is a jewel case version and a digipak version (I got the digipak version, it's got awesome artwork and the poster of Kanye and his mom).

Also, someone at kanyelive.com is working on putting together the AMA version of Heartless, here's the intro...sounds EPIC: http://www.zshare.net/audio/51797162f5b82cf2/

He did a great job.

A bunch of new reviews dropped today. I added the blurbs to the OP.

i know i know :lol i was planning on picking up graduation but never got around to it. i guess i really started loving kanye sometime between Late Registration and Graduation, and i only pick up CDs that i really want.

what is a digipack vs a jewel case? as far as i know, the regular looking CDs (jewel case?) come with the posters and stuff as well

and kanye knows how to FUCKING PERFORM. his energy in tonight on letterman was amazing. i dont think ive ever seen a solo artist perform with a mic stand with so much energy, emotion, and passion.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k2SPN57isP5otZQXNZ

i cant wait for Kanye vs the Volcano

also, im so glad he used all that auto-tuning stuff. without it, he wouldnt be able to perform the way he does without it sounding like shit. its done very tastefully
