I'm kinda amazed by Red Scarlet's kill count. It feels like I've donated a third of my life to Left 4 Dead in the past month and I still haven't gotten the zombicidal genocydist (or whatever the name of the achievement is). I think my total kill count is in the 20-something thousands.

Killing two tanks and barely surviving with one guy up while all three are incapped, protecting him with pistols, pretty rewarding. This makes getting a 15+ score super exciting.MNC said:
You're right though, fun survival requires a paradigm shift, if you just play it as "let's camp here till we die" it can be really boring.

Sorry, I take full blame for that loss earlier, Scarlet. I totally got baited as a tank and massively failed. Dead Air finale needs some tweaking though.

Dead Air vs is just cursed for me. You just don't want to be on the same team as I'm on, then you'll win at the end. Best part is I really had to go to the bathroom, so I just leave before we go back to the lobby, which probably makes people think I ragequit to 'save my stats', but it still counts. Had to go to the br the whole match this time, was bad.

I've got a couple of hours free... anyone up for a game? VS/Survivor/Campaign/whatever
I'd really like to play some advanced or expert campaigns with GAFfers later. Somewhere between 5-10 PM EST. I picked up the game Friday night and played for probably 6 hours straight. :lol Played a good bit more on Saturday and some yesterday.
I really enjoy the game but playing campaign with randoms from quick join can be hit or miss. Most of the time I get 1 1/2 to 2 times the kills of the next highest person, so I get annoyed at having to coordinate everyone. I'd just like to play with some players that are at least as good as me, if not better, but are willing to put up with my semi-noobish ways. Anyone down? Send me an invite to andycapps on Steam or send me a PM on here if doesn't work that way.

Those "killed per hour" stats tend to go up sharply if you play Survival a lot, thanks to the endless stream of zombies combined with the firepower you have available. Mine's pretty low though, maybe partly because I spend a lot of time being the guy in front of chokes meleeing.
I don't mind playing more campaign. Most games I go into are versus or survival, so I actually haven't gotten any of the campaign completion achievements besides Dead Air.

Man, I had an awesome 8 or so hour session today.
-I got Man vs. Tank completely by accident in Survival mode today (my team basically left me to die and I proved them wrong)
-Me, Shake Appeal and two others cleared a legit 21 or so minute time on Survival on the No Mercy Rooftop Finale.
-Completed Death Toll and Dead Air on Expert, getting me What Are You Trying to Prove.
-After looking online and at Shake's thing about getting Nothing Special, since I was on a roll I tried doing that on Dead Air on Easy. I almost did it on my first try, but I did get Stomach Upset (I had two bad Tank spawns I couldn't really avoid, no regular special infected ever got us).
-After realizing on the Dead Air finale that my AI had only gotten hit like once, I decided to try for Unstoppables on Dead Air, which I got on my 2nd try
So I'm only left with Nothing Special, and Genocide with a little under four thousand kills to go. Unless I just had an insanely lucky run, two tanks were the only thing that stopped me on my Dead Air Nothing Special run. BIG tip on that which I didn't realize before was turning on the full closed captions, which always gave me a heads up when a special infected was around the corner, then I'd just back up with my AI so if there was a Boomer they would take care of it, and if there was a smoker or a hunter and actually got one of us, they'd take care of it instantly (smoker's don't do drag damage and hunters don't do pounce damage in campaign).

If you're down for more co-op later, hit me up (Steamid: tokubetsu). I only have the DT expert achievement thanks to being one of the few that had some of those achievements not register.

Nice work. I should really go back and do the Expert campaigns at some point, I haven't done any of them. I almost got Stomach Upset at one point on Blood Harvest, until I stupidly shot a boomer which ambushed me on the way to the rescue vehicle in the finale.
Oh, and thanks for being excellent zombie bait on Rooftop! I can't believe we killed 1700 infected, 75 hunters and 16 tanks in only 20 minutes.

Yeah, I've been getting a lot of inequity when it comes to item distribution lately. The funny thing about it is that it can be worse than the old random tank system when it comes to surviving.
I'm sure it will get fixed along with the inevitable future buffs and nerfs, though.
