PC. Definitely.Roughmar said:I'm going to buy this, only real question is:
Xbox or PC?
If you plan on playing with GAFers, the majority of us are playing on Steam.Roughmar said:thanks then!![]()

I suspect the primary reason why they removed it might be that they fear that people will play the demo endlessly and never buy the game. I certainly have done that at least once. I know people who do that regularly. Depends on the sort of game it is.
They could probably limit the levels that can be loaded fairly easily.

But man this game brings out the devil in you.
I played a lot with a guy called launchrokkit or something and we partnered alot, he always had my back and I did my best to cover his.
But as the story unfolds and the boat arrives we notice that another survivor is pinned under a huge group of zombies, and a tank was also in on the bullying.
As a true survivalist I stood safely on the boat and shot my assault rifle dry. Then I remained steadfast on the boat watching my partner run back to help him only to get sucked in by a smoker.
As time went by and my partner lay there incapacitaded and getting smashed by the tank, the zombies started to rush the boat, and what do I do?
I started firing ON MY PARTNER, just to save my own skinBut hey, it was him or the remaining two of us.
Edit: And no, I didn't kill him, perhaps just take a few hp off to get the tank to finish it faster.

PC will most likely get more support from Valve (and free DLC)
Mods. Someone is working on a Dawn of the Dead mall map right now.

MutFox said:It's not worthless, but you'll get full support on the PC.
Online is Free, DLC is Free, and users can make as many custom campaigns as they want.
Also, there will be MOD's...
There's no Limit to what can be done on the PC version.

Of course the game is not worthless on the x360. Some even say TF2 is not worthless on X360.
Hell fucking yes. The 360 version runs great and plays great, it just doesn't look as great compared to the pc version.BenjaminBirdie said:Well, me not having a Gaming PC is kind of a limit. I just wanted to make sure it was worth a purchase.
BenjaminBirdie said:Oh no, I meant Left 4 Dead 360 being worth it, not a Gaming PC.
MercuryLS said:The game is effin awesome on 360. It's very smooth, has great split screen, dedicated servers for lag-less online play (both co-op and competitive), most people have headsets so communication is easy and helps a lot, the maps are all fun to play again and again. Just buy it and add me MercuryLS![]()

None of my friends are interested in pc l4d, so i play public versus games. The reason for buying l4d shines during a good vs match, but it is such a hit-or-miss and time consuming process using the matchmaking or finding a lobby. I'm not awesome at the game but I am trying to learn, which is really difficult when half the people you run into are either too impatient or too apathetic about working as a team.
my steam id is 'bistromathics'...i posted in the meetup thread but that doesnt seem as active. hit me up if you're down for some versus
Yaweee said:Make sure you join the specific L4D GAF group on Steam. Once you're in there, you can just go through the long grueling process of adding each person to your friends list. Then, when you start up the game, it will say 'You have 49 friends playing' or something ridiculous like that.
