Kassem Mosse is one of my top three favorite house artists ever, and I only have like ten of his tracks lol. : )

Anyway, I decided to cross post this from my Gaf-Hop Bass wrapup, a collection of some of my favorites from this year:

~ Smooth ass R&B with dreamy Bass beats.

~ Dreamy, downtempo, chillwave-esque

~ Dare I say more surreal than James Blake, top five release for me

~ Brilliant bass release with house sensibilities

~ When dubstep is good, it can be really good, this is one of those instances

~ Bass/dubstep with emotion!

~ Melancholic Bass, dreary and lost

~ Boomy and sinister

~ Bass music that incorporates acid house and electro with great results

~ Insane riddim bass music

~ Lustful and synthetic bass music

~ Simultaneously repetitive and free, bang bang bang

Go now and listen to Shlohmo's mix for Benji

This blend is soooo good

01 Just Friends – Avalanche (Shlohmo Remix) [Clown & Sunset]
02 LOL Boys – Changes (Shlohmo Remix) [Friends Of Friends]

Just bought this Vinyl
BWOOD089_lrg.jpg

Cuba Electronica
Calle F

Cant even play any of the vinyl yet, I just think "oh that would be sweet to have"
Hopefully I can track down my speakers and get the record player I found in the roof working.

I'll be snatching up the vinyl as soon as it's out. Guarantee it'll never see a digital release.

This Sleeparchive EP is fucking stellar, and anyone into minimal techno should check it out. Reminds me quite heavily of False's 2007, which is just boss.

Doshy - DCU and Plastic (download link!) are also not to be missed. The whole EP is killer, really.

I.F.M. - Miles, for you Chicago House heads.

Playtime Toons - Shaker Song I probably shouldn't like this as much as I do, but the overwhelming positivity of this song is just too much to not love.

I can't find a link to it anywhere, but "Cuba Jakkin'" by Rio Rhythm Band is another great uber-positive summer house jammer. Worth seeking out.

Elitechnique - Rooftop

Alden Tyrell - Touch the Sky (Gerd's Double G Mix) :D

Let's Do It (LNTG Rework) This just bears repeating. RJ's - Listen (TZ Edit) and one more edit.

I don't know that for a fact, but I can see it happening. It's being released on Hinge Finger, so odds are it'll be vinyl exclusive for a long, long time.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

Does that exclude someone at least ripping it and putting it up somewhere? I'm ignorant of vinyl.

I want that ep in my ipod dammit.

Side note: Running to Blawan is heaven.

That might happen but it could take awhile.More like ripping it from youtube within a few days of the full version ending up on there.

Just join the vinyl clan haha its so cheap and easy D:

Pfff, sorry duders. Can't play it in my car, headphones, etc. Its...uncommon for me to listen to much music at home.

It's a Blawan release: it'll be online within 24 hours of someone getting a hold of the vinyl.

To keep your conscience at ease, throw some money at the dude and buy the wax, then give it to a friend who can actually listen to it.

Hah, I don't think I know anyone who listens to electronic music IRL, much less vinyl haha. But yeah, I'll keep throwing money at Blawan, one of my favorite guys at the moment.

Edit: I'd love to see him live, doesn't look like he has anything planned in the US though. He should to come to Philly dammit.

Anyone feel like teaching me about Mount Kimbe? I keep seeing them appear on the Dimensions facebook page but confess to knowing jack all about them.

They're fantastic. If it says anything, James Blake was once a collaborator. Check out:

Crooks and Lovers flows really well as an album, be sure to check the whole thing.

Just read on FACT that they're signed to Warp and have a new LP out early 2013. Can't wait!

very jealous you're going to Dimensions, I've got a few mates heading over but I didn't leave myself with enough time/money to get over this year!

DO NOT miss Motor City Drum Ensemble. His tour schedule is sporadic, at best, so to have a chance to see him is not to be missed. I would also add Objekt, FunkinEven and Petar Dundov, but I don't think Petar is quite your bag ;) You nailed all of the essentials. Nine times out of 10, when Klock and Dettmann are playing at a festival/party like this, they'll do a B2B set which is always insane.

Have fun! I would do so many awful things for a chance to go.

To add to the bold, go see Carl Craig, Tom Middleton, and Moodymann definitely, and also Dusky/Metro Area/Pezzner/Dyed Soundroom/Huxley if you are in the mood for deep house. And don't forget Todd Terje, that's a definite! Now that is a fucking hot lineup btw.
