Could someone give me a recap of some of the biggest releases (or just your favourites) from 2012 and 2013 in this kind of music? Ryan Hemsworth, Kastle and such type of stuff

Oh man, *finally* scored a sub to match my Yamaha monitors (second hand @ around 1/3 of full retail) so expect me to start actually making shit within the next few weeks or so. It was my last excuse for not starting anything (or even trying to learn how to use Ableton) so now that hurdle's out of the way... look out.

But for now, holy fucking shit does everything sound AMAZING. If anyone has any songs in particular that have super high-quality production on them, let me know because I'd love to test this sucker out.

Funniest thing about that track, is that when I first heard my mate play it out, I went up to him and said "Man, that track... what's that song... (I preceded to try and sing "Cream" to him)"
"Cream, by Claptone?"
"Yeah, would mix in really well with this!"

I thought it was funny, anyway. Have this bizarre knack for being able to inadvertently guess who's singing a song by saying it reminds me of another song that artist did :/
