House music is serious business dudes.

Edit: Okay maybe I'm reading this wrong and if I am let me know. George has his own label, ManMakeMusic. Seems to be doing well enough. Most of George's new stuff seems to be coming out on Hotflush, or Aus. But his new single (in the link below) is coming out on his second label, Domino.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy have two labels? Also someone explain to me why literally every DJ/producer has his own label. Scuba, Jacques Greene, Waze and Oddysey, George Fitz, Locked Groove, Maya Jane Coles, Late Nite Tuff Guy....the list goes on and on.

Their label wont strictly be for putting out their own stuff but for pushing people they likes sound.

Im no expert though.
So say you send me some tunes, I then think "These are really good! I want to press them and sell them"
Now we have a company.
Literally a two man operation with everything outsourced to vinyl pressing places (or even just digital)

So they are not like 30 man operations but usualy a couple guys potential an ocean away getting something pressed.

Man make music is a nice label though, their artwork is on point aswell.

This is great!!!

Phewwwww. Sorry, been kinda inactive lately. Had a blast last weekend! We had a little summer get-together with my friends from my schools electronic music club by a lake. Sauna, hot-tub and all that good stuff!
Too much alcohol and weed for me, god.

Gonna try this out next gig, I'm sure that drop at 2:14 gets the same kind of reaction like forexample Trisco's 'Muzik' or Saints & Sinners 'Pushin Too Hard'.

Just getting around to this mix today: HOT. AS. FUCK.

New DJ Rashad I Don't Give a Fuck is also pretty O__O

Thread needs more juke and footwork!
Shame my internet is fucked at home, I need to update my collection.

Did make alittle mix ( well really I just record everything these days) earlier in the week of some juke/footwork/bit of jungle for lols I can throw up if anyones intrested?its pretty rough around the edges though.

I really need to work out if im getting anywhere essentially learning to mix on my own. Its pretty hard knowing if you did an ok transition or if it was shit and easy for example and as most of the people I know dont know shit about Djing I could play the crossfade all night and they wouldnt know any better..

This mixtape is fucking godlike:

https://soundcloud.com/h3xh3xh3x/h3x3n-sh4m4n-cxb7-127-black

If you need context just realize who's posting it, it's gonna be dark, noisy, and have bass.

i have trouble taking artists/blogs etc seriously that use numbers and letters instead of vowels or just omit vowels...it's such a played out trend and it takes away so much from your image before i can even hear your stuff

gunna check this out tho

Don't take them seriously, doesn't mean you can't enjoy them. I never understood this taking serious trend. fuck that

I believe many in witch house are taking the piss. I love some of the music, but a lot seems highly self-indulgent. Maybe they don't want to be easily searchable to stay underground or something.

I really don't like Juke/Footwork whatever. Just goes over my head or something.

I didn't really know that it grew out of house when I first started exploring it. But for me it's like a jungle/breakbeat reduct. I've noticed a lot of the dnb world is now dabbling in juke/footwork. Older stuff seemed more like it was building on house. Guess I am kind of predisposed to like it based on my tastes or something.

For the NYC crowd, a few more Electric Zoo afterparties have been announced, in addition to the initial Mark Knight one. Also Green Velvet was just added to the Saturday lineup for EZoo.

Yesss that Diana LP is bliss! Also lush, what is that Clicks & Whistles doing there, are you still in the trap bandwagon? ;)

Pretty sure Ryan Hemsworth dropped that one in a mix. They're not too bad, their release on Symbols sounded like a Machinedrum copy.

True dat, forgot that they had a release on Symbols. I stopped following the whole scene when it got inflated with mediocricy around NYE. Ryan and LuckyMe crew are untouchable, they are like 10 levels above everyone else doing this kind of stuff. Cashmere Cat is a close second for me.

Nooooo, I'm going to be in Mykonos when this happens:

God DAMN.

I want to shine a little light in here on M|O|O|N, who is mostly know of course from the Hotline Miami soundtrack. His last EP (which I just got around to) is fucking STELLAR. Dark futuristic house music. His comments on his bandcamp had to do with how he finally put together a cohesive work, and these three songs really are that. So good and robot sexy.
