Yeah Output can be pretty a schizophrenic place. Some nights I'll go and it'll be totally packed, top to bottom. Other nights I'll go and it will be almost completely empty. I imagine they have to start booking more mainstream acts in order to keep themselves in the black.

Edit: Adam Beyer is going to play a 10-hour set at Pacha on 1/18/2014.

i felt the same way till i heard slasher and triadz at a club and damn it sounds soooooooooooo much better on a good sound system

Well yeah. Obviously they are superbly produced, that wasn't my point. I'm missing more unique stuff by him, more diversive. He has the potential for it.

Just out of curiosity, because you mentioned Output only scheduling shit acts, but are you disappointed because there aren't more trap/foot/juke acts being booked and more house/techno, or because of the more mainstream leaning nights?

Dubplate Specialist EP [IM:Ltd]

Soul Intent - Dubplate Special
Derrick & Tonika - Session
Robustus - Secret Medicine
Presize - turning Point
Joakuim - buble

The Glitch Mob - Can't Kill Us
I loved Drink the Sea, seriously an revolutionary album. I'm a bit split on this single, it employs pretty much most of what I love about their songs. It's a bit too high octane to be honest, it's the same thing that bothered me with the direction Chase & Status and Pendulum went... Hopefully the rest of the LP rounds out their sound pallet. The bass is just really fighting what their mids are trying to do, I was great went it all layered perfectly of the frequency range.

I'm gonna list off a bunch of labels since it's easier to cover a lot of ground with them than listing invdividual artists.

All of DMZ
All of Deep Medi Musik
All of Tempa
All of Skull Disco
All of Tectonic
Planet Mu 2004-2008
Hotflush 2003-2010
All of Chestplate
Hyperdub 2004-2010
Hessle 2007-2011
Punch Drunk 2006-2011

I think that covers it for the bigger labels. A lot of them stopped putting out dubstep in more recent years (hence the year labelling).

Damm, how good is Rope, from SCB/Scuba's Rope/Technique ep. That breakdown and buildup is insane. Other song is solid and pretty unique.

SHLOHMO X JEREMIH EP > FEBRUARY 2014

Weird teaser video: http://youtu.be/GtnB5p6gFLE

Bless.

Always forget how good Clams is. LVL and Bookfiend are alot better than I remember them being. Youforia is pretty great as well. Love how good some of his stuff sounds on its own, better that way for the most part, considering who the beats are for that makes sense though.

You guys see Evian Christ signed to GOOD? Also, <<<<< to Roc Nation, hilarious.

Fosho! I've been telling for years that Kanye knows his shit, but no one ever listens to me. I loved the zomby tweet from a year ago where he said that he was in studio with Kanye and Burial, that would've been seriously the best thing ever happened on this planet.

favourite from high school years, bliss

For the deep techno lovers here, have you guys checked out Traumprinz - Mothercave yet? Fantastic, fantastic album:

Unfortunately, it's vinyl only, but it's worth tracking it down (or some videos on Youtube or whatever)
