What a classic. Open your eyes was truly a trance track done right. Hale Bopp, LSG, Skip Raiders.. Shame nobody plays these tunes anymore (seldom played even on an oldskool night)
Freefall was an Aussie track ^_^

BTW A mate of mine played a set a few years back for an anniversary party of a classic club night in Melbourne. It's about 50/50 new stuff (at the time) and classics:
https://soundcloud.com/dj-scotty-d-edits/monkey-onesixone-dj-scotty-d

Trommelmaschine and Doom's Night made an appearance, amongst others. Nothing like seeing a tightly-packed, lit-from-underneath dancefloor just lose their shit when Maas' Doom's Night remix kicks in :D

Edit: Completely forgot, also has this pearler in it.

Not sure what's the most appropriate thread for this but i'll try here.

I've rediscovered my love for Daft Punk - Alive 2007 and was wondering if anyone had any links to good reads on how they put their mix/show together? I've seen the photo taken inside the pyramid with info on the gear they used etc. Just looking for something a bit more in depth.

This thread sounds right up my alley. Hi guys! 0/

Currently re-living 2007 by repeating all the Danger-material that's on Spotify, damn the guy is good. He's playing at a festival here in Sweden next summer, might pop by to see what he's up to these days.

Hopkins, Holden, Bonobo and some other cool stuff next weekend, gonna be fun.

Seeing Darkside tonight at the Paradise in Boston. The live set they posted on other-people a few weeks ago was great if not a little short (58 minutes).

Small venue and it's sold out.

Edit: well, that was rather great. Place was bouncing and the live workings of the tracks from psychic worked really well.

So, I'm sure you're all sick of me posting this as I am of posting it BUT, I am staying in tonight due to work and am spinning live right now for a bit: http://mixlr.com/fruitpreservative/

Come say hi.

Thanks, Nocturnedelight, for tuning in. Tonight was a total, sloppy, uncompromised blast. Tonight had a lot of worthwhile highs and a handful of lows we won't even mention. Just a fun fuckin night playing good tunes for tuned in folks.

why is pitchfork so obsessed with four tet, literally anything this guy does makes news

sounds like this thread, seriously it's like four tet and a few other artists that get posted about every page.

it's a shame this thread is already community status

so while it's probably old news, I gotta say I've been really getting into Tensnake. He was hosting a sounddrop I think it was called through Spotify, and was surprised to see how many songs I liked (I didn't really give him much thought outside of Love Sublime and No Relief). Anyways, I'm really liking all his colabs with Fiora (and think her best colabs have been with him)

No Relief [Free Download]
Love Sublime (Radio Edit) (w/ Nile Rodgers)
58BPM [video] This is probably my favorite official video of his
See Right Through (youtube link)

Also, I had emailed Fiora to give her some love, and she said there'll be more stuff with him on his record and her own.

because it's p4k's job to promote middling, easy music for the arcade fire crowd. four tet.

this thread is mainly about boring remixes and a sea of inconsequential dj mixes. again, four tet.

What does this even mean. Do you need to be consistently "challenged" by music or something? dj mixes that are Inconsequential? in what way?
I feel like you have some really warped ideas when it comes to music and it just comes off as pretentious wankery.

This is probably a seemingly out of nowhere post but you just seem to shit on a whole lot of stuff and it winds me up to no end.
