i definitely agree. across all genres there has been a fuckload of releases. it's been a great year so farMetroid Killer said:So recently joelseph introduced me to Mount Kimbie in the Pantha Du prince thread and I've been digging around for more music the past days...
Is it just me or has 2010 been THE year for electronic album releases??
Mount Kimbie - Crooks and Lovers
Four Tet - There Is Love in You
Caribou - Swim (just discovered this, soo good)
Pantha du Prince - Black Noise
Just to name a few
There are so many artists around and I admit I don't quite got a grasp of the electronic scene(or any grasps at all). But 2010 seem to be flooded with absolutely solid electronic albums.

The Miami horror definitely sounds like an old supertramp album done well. Lots of vintage Rhodes sounds but still sounds very current. I'd suggest giving it a run through on YouTube. I love it.Johnlenham said:Maaaan I need some new mix's Ive rinsed the ones I have go, easily listened to them 10-12 times each if not closer to 20s.

A deep disco mix. I'll edit this post with the tracklist in a bit. Artwork was made by GAF's very own Gyrian.
Any toughts?

most of the time it's just the one guy because i believe the other one is in med school. they (he? haha) always put on a fantastic show.Sai-kun said:Designer Drugs playing here in Chicago next Friday. I hope I can go They (well one of them) kicked ass when I saw him open for Deadmau5!

also, duck sauce is a-trak and armand van helden.Shaneus said:Interesting fact: Major Lazer is actually Diplo and Switch! I had no idea... when I found out over the weekend, I was high-fiving my best mate while completely trashed. I was a little excited when I found out :lol
didn't know that! awesome!btkadams said:also, duck sauce is a-trak and armand van helden.
Figured as much... seems the new-school with the likes of Afrojack are taking over. Bit of a shame, because at least Switch, Sinden and Herve (to a lesser extent) actually made shit that sounded different track-to-track. IMO the only real decent song that AJ has put out is Take Over Control.joelseph said:Dave is still producing and remixing as Switch, I recently came across a new remix but it didn't stand out. I will see if I can dig it up. Been a year two since I heard any of his fidget.
afrojack is ridiculously overhyped. he's definitely got a few awesome songs but everything of his sounds the same.Shaneus said:Figured as much... seems the new-school with the likes of Afrojack are taking over.
